As you could probably tell from Beto’s shameful performance during the press conference after the Uvalde shooting, Beto is running for office again.

We now have our first polls on that race since Beto tried to piggyback that tragedy to energize his campaign. How well did that gambit pay off?

Not great.

Here are a couple of takeaways from the cross-tabs of that poll:

That doesn’t mean Team Abbott should be popping any corks just yet.

We’ve all seen the race isn’t quite over until one guy concedes, and there is a lot of time the political battleground to shift in response to new issues.

More importantly, as encouraging as they might find these numbers to be, it did skew to the right.

Looking at some of the other answers reveals something worth watching as we move beyond the midterms and consider how that 2024 race might be taking shape:

Very interesting.

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
