Whistleblower Docs Show Biden’s Disinformation Governance Board Was Set Up To Monitor Americans’ Speech

The Department of Homeland Security under President Joe Biden wanted to monitor the speech of Americans.

This is in direct contradiction to what DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said on CNN in May. Mayorkas said that the Board would be combating foreign “mis-, dis-, and mal-information” and that it was simply a “working group” that would not be monitoring Americans.

Here he is on CNN’s State of the Union with Dana Bash saying just that:

In a White House Press Briefing on May 2, then-White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said that the Board’s focus would be “human traffickers and other transnational criminal organizations.”

On Wednesday, the website of Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) published a press release saying that he and Sen. Chuck Grassley received whistleblower documents about the Biden administration’s attempt to create an Orwellian “Ministry of Truth” in the United States.

New whistleblower documents, obtained by U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) and Senate Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), expose shocking new details about the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) planned Disinformation Governance Board. The documents reveal that DHS drafted plans for the Disinformation Governance Board as early as September 2021 and explored the possibility of partnerships with Big Tech companies like Twitter to assist in their efforts.

According to the whistleblower, the Disinfo Board was originally formed to monitor the speech of Americans on a variety of issues ranging from questioning the 2020 Presidential election, COVID vaccines, or if masks are effective.

It also showed that the board wanted to collaborate with Twitter to “suppress disfavored content” on the platform.

This is pretty damning considering Russiagate Truther and Laptop From Hell Denier, Nina Jankowicz, who was supposed to head the board had said that she thought it was a good idea for blue-checks to be able to “edit” the tweets of unverified users in order to “add context.”

The Senators are demanding answers. They have sent a letter to Secretary Mayorkas requesting all internal documents related to the board be released as well as asking for clarification on why his testimony before Congress on May 4 did not explain the full scope of the Disinformation Governance Board’s role.

“The First Amendment of the Constitution was designed precisely so that the government could not censor opposing viewpoints – even if those viewpoints were false. DHS should not in any way seek to enlist the private sector to curb or silence opposing viewpoints. It is therefore imperative for DHS to provide additional clarity regarding its policies and procedures for identifying and addressing ‘MDM,’ as well as its efforts to ‘operationalize’ public-private partnerships and the steps it is taking to ensure that it does not infringe on the constitutional rights of American citizens,” wrote Sens. Grassley and Hawley.

From Sen. Hawley’s website:

  • The Disinformation Governance Board was originally conceived in part to monitor domestic speech regarding “conspiracy theories about the validity and security of elections” and “disinformation related to the origins and effects of COVID-19 vaccines or the efficacy of masks.”
  • DHS planned for a partnership with Twitter to suppress disfavored content and planned a meeting with Twitter executives exploring the concept.
  • The Disinformation Governance Board charter was drafted in January 2022 and personally signed by Secretary Mayorkas on February 24, 2022. The document states that the charter goes into effect immediately upon the Secretary’s signing of the document.
  • Despite the Secretary’s assertion that the Board had not yet begun its work, a planned meeting with social media executives appears to have been staffed by Nina Jankowicz.
  • DHS officials appear to have prepared legislation to codify a “Rumor Control Program of the Department of Homeland Security to Counter Misinformation, Disinformation, and Malinformation,” including a public-facing website known as “Rumor Control.”

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight on Wednesday to discuss what he learned from the whistleblower.

It looks like America really dodged a bullet by shining a light on the so-called “Disinformation Board” until the Biden admin had to ditch it.

But it’s not like they’re not going to try to resurrect it at some point. The left cannot win because when they actually govern, voters don’t like it. Just look at how low Joe Biden’s polling numbers have been.

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
