However big or powerful your government might be, there is always a point beyond which the citizen cannot be pushed. The Dutch have discovered theirs.

Elections have consequences. So do bad policies.

Farmers are revolting in response to aggressive new environmental policies that will hurt an industry that’s already suffering from skyrocketing input costs.

The protest in Stroe, 70 kilometres east of Amsterdam, follows the introduction last week of targets for reducing pollution by harmful nitrogen compounds in some areas by up to 70% by 2030 – the latest attempt to solve a problem that has plagued the country for years.

…Farmers argue the targets are poorly conceived and unfair. They are expected to lead to a 30% reduction in the number of Dutch livestock, with effects more concentrated in agricultural areas bordering nature preserves. — Reuters

Manure and fertilizers are specifically targeted in these regulations and tensions have been growing as a result. Farmers have taken the base concept of Canada’s Truckers’ protests to whole new levels. Distribution centers that have been specifically targeted in their blockades.

Footage has emerged that appears to show police firing on the protesters.

A Canadian reporter has been embedded in this protest and saw the same event from a different angle.

If the police thought they were the only ones who could escalate the stakes of this protest, they seriously underestimated the will and determination of the protesters.

It looks like the Dutch farmers learned some lessons from how authorities brought the Canadian protest to an end, and have upped the ante.

If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive

Much of the Left loathes masculinity and they love to paint Jesus as a non-offensive bearded woman who endorses their agenda. This book blows that nonsense all to hell. From the stonking laptop of bestselling author, Doug Giles, comes a new book that focuses on Jesus’ overt masculine traits like no other books have heretofore. It’s informative, bold, hilarious, and scary. Giles has concluded, after many years of scouring the scripture that, If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive.
