If Dems never stop sounding the alarm about how the right is a threat to democracy, why is it that Republicans are so often the targets of actual violence?

Scalia barely survived an assassination attempt at baseball practice where several elected Republicans were on a hit list and being deliberately targeted for political violence. Rand Paul lost part of a lung after complications from being blindsided and assaulted by a neighbor. Even an assassination attempt on a Republican-appointed Justice wasn’t enough to convince Biden’s DOJ to enforce laws that make it a felony to harass judges in their private homes or offices.

The spate of violence that erupted against pro-life organizations in response to the unprecedented leak of a draft version of the Dobbs decision was yet one more data point to show us who’s really been threatening established democratic norms.

Now, Lee Zeldin has become the latest in the parade of Republicans targeted for political violence as an attacker pulled a knife on him during a campaign stop.

Here’s how the news report described the event:

Congressman Lee Zeldin was attacked at a campaign event in Perinton Thursday night. Zeldin is the Republican candidate for governor in New York State.
Witnesses say Zeldin was giving a speech about bail reform at the VFW on Macedon Center Road when a man — reportedly an Iraw War veteran under the influence of alcohol — stumbled through the crowd. He then proceeded to climb on the stage and pulled out a knife.
The man attempted to lunge at Zeldin, until AMVETS National Director Joe Chenelly tackle and restrained him, along with the assistance of other bystanders at the scene.
Those on the scene were able to zip-tie him and get the weapon away before he was taken into custody by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Fortunately, everyone was ok, and Zeldon finished his speech.

The attacker, not surprisingly, has already been released on his own cognizance.

If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive

Much of the Left loathes masculinity and they love to paint Jesus as a non-offensive bearded woman who endorses their agenda. This book blows that nonsense all to hell. From the stonking laptop of bestselling author, Doug Giles, comes a new book that focuses on Jesus’ overt masculine traits like no other books have heretofore. It’s informative, bold, hilarious, and scary. Giles has concluded, after many years of scouring the scripture that, If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive.
