Rite Of Passage Ranch Introduces The Fatherless To The Father

When my life was utter hell, I was sent to Still Creek Boys & Girls Home where I found myself amongst 7 other boys in need and an amazing couple who cared for us known as “House Parents.” Those House Parents’ names were Cindy and Clayton Smith. They now hold the title of Mom & Dad two — my second set of parents, if you will.

To be honest, if it wasn’t for them I’d probably be dead, in prison, or maybe even something worse. The list of things they have done for me is a long one, but if I had to choose the top three they would be:

  1. Loved me right where I was at.
  2. Taught me a better way to live my life and how to engage in social life.
  3. They took a train wreck of a boy from a suburban home and made him a man after God’s heart.

The things I listed above don’t just apply to me, but to every other life they touch. They save people through righteous biblical beliefs rooted heavily and deeply in scripture. Their mission is to take lost boys and make them men. They fill the fatherless divide among many walks of life.

Left to right: Cindy, Clayton, Me, and Ty Smith

These people deserve all the love and support in their endeavor to build a boys’ home in the great state of Alabama.

I would have never become the man that I am today if it wasn’t for them. To be frank, we need a hell of a lot more of what they have to offer in this world of ours.

So please, go support them in any way that you can and check out how they’re committed to “introducing the Fatherless to the Father.”

Rite of Passage Ranch is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit ministry providing fatherless boys unique opportunities to challenge and lead them through a rite of passage into manhood.
