Ayman al-Zawahiri is dead. That’s the reporting, anyway.
Who is Ayman al-Zawahiri? He was the most recent leader of Al Qaeda. For anyone too young to remember, Ilhan Omar once infamously giggled while pronoucing their name fondly.
They were the ones behind the terror attacks on 9/11 and al-Zawahiri reportedly played a role in the actual 9/11 plot.
Now, he’s rapidly approaching room temperature.
The strike has been reported this way:
“Over the weekend, the United States conducted a counterterrorism operation against a significant al Qaeda target in Afghanistan,” the senior administration official told Fox News Monday. “The operation was successful and there were no civilian casualties.” — FoxNews
It was a drone strike.
As for the claim of zero civilian casualties in this ‘over-the-horizon’, we’ll wait and see. The last time they took credit for a drone strike in Kabul, the so-called ‘righteous strike’ killed 10 people, including 7 children, while the principal target was actually an aid worker.
Let’s file this under ‘trust but verify’.
If the claim checks out and they really did kill the guy they say they did, with zero civilians dead? This would be a nice confirmation of what Biden’s team claimed could be done using ‘over-the-horizon’ capabilities.
Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.
Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.
This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
