It’s not hard to imagine how some of the stories we see in the gospels would play out in the modern day.

We all know jaded rules lawyers who think it’s their job to police everyone else.

We’ve all seen folks who will elbow their way to be first in line to see that great new teaching, while blocking the path of someone with a real need.

And every once in a while, we find a rowdy little group of rebels who break out of the scheduled monotony by daring to believe that God really is big enough to deliver on His promises if you can push on through the barriers and get yourself an audience with the Almighty.

The dangerous question any ear-tickling pastors would never dare to ask their churches is this one: if you were there that day, would you have been part of this miracle, or an obstacle standing in the way?

If you don’t like how you answer that question — are you ready do to something about it?

There’s a lot squeezed into that story of the paralytic that was let down through the roof… let’s unpack some of it and see what it means for us today.

If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive

Much of the Left loathes masculinity and they love to paint Jesus as a non-offensive bearded woman who endorses their agenda. This book blows that nonsense all to hell. From the stonking laptop of bestselling author, Doug Giles, comes a new book that focuses on Jesus’ overt masculine traits like no other books have heretofore. It’s informative, bold, hilarious, and scary. Giles has concluded, after many years of scouring the scripture that, If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive.
