Democrats, both elected and hosting news shows, have been all but wetting themselves with glee at the prospect of the coercive police powers being bared against Trump … yet again.
Democrat echo chambers online have picked up the refrain pushed out by the Hillary-affiliated lawyer at the center of the Crossfire Hurricane/Steele Dossier investigation, and are amplifying a talking point about an obscure statute they hope will nail Trump and disqualify him from an future Federal Office.
Clearly, this has been the ultimate objective of the anti-Trump cabal from the very beginning.
When the FBI descended in force on Trump’s principal residence in Florida, Trump had an official response. We referenced part of it last night. Now, here it is in full:

These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida is currently under seige, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents. Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before. After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on myhome was not necessary or appropriate. It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice Sytem, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections. Such an assault could only take place in broken Third-World Countries. Sadly, America has now become one of those Countries, corrupt at a level not seen before. They even broke into my safe! What is the difference between this and Watergate, where operatives broke inot the Democrat national Committee? Here, in reverse, Democrats broke into the home of he 45th President of the United States.
The political persecution of President Donald J. Trump has been going on for years, with the now fully debunked Russia, Russia, Russia Scam, Impeachmen Hoax #1, Impeachment Hoax #2, and so much more, it just never ends. It is political targeting at the highest level!
Hillary Clinton was allowed to delete and acid wash 33,000 E-mails AFTER they were supboenaed by Congress. Absolutely nothing has happened to hold her accountable. She even took antique furniture, and other items from the White House.
I stood up to America’s bureaucratic corruption, I resotred power to the peopel, and truly delivered for our Country, like we have never seen before. the establishment hated it. Now, as hey watch my endorsed candidates win big victories, and see my dominance in all polls, they are trying to stop me, and the Republican Party, once more. the lawlessness, political persecution, and Witch Hunt mut be exposed and stopped.

Dems are scoffing at his Watergate comparison. But is his assertion really such a stretch?
Let’s recap and see whether this is a ‘persecution complex’ on Trump’s part or if he’s really got a valid point.
Long before Trump was ever sworn in, loyalists for Obama and Hillary had already illicitly turned the power of law enforcement against their Republican rival. Obama once promised to fundamentally transform government, and boy howdy, we are seeing the fruit of that tree now.
Trump’s entire 4-year term was plagued with every possible form of obstruction, allegation, leak, and impeachment attempt, prescisely as anyone who read the Media Matters War Plan 2017 knew he would, using that document’s precise recipe of harassment, disinformation, and politics of destruction written in Obama/Biden’s last weeks in office.
That ‘fortified election’ Time Magazine bragged about may have helped Biden push Trump out of office, but Trump remains a threat, and Democrats have thrown everything they can at him. Democrat prosecutors in various states have opened up investigation after investigation.
The J6 committee has run roughshod over instances of Executive or Legal Privilege and has maintained a presumption of guilt with a lack of any cross-examination that would have more in common with revolutions in France, China, or Soviet Russia than with the principles handed down to us by the Framers.
That the FBI is (we are told) indiscriminately carrying out boxes of documents from Trump’s Mar-A-Lago residence while Trump is out-of-state while nobody is there to challenge some of this information as outside the scope of any legal warrant — including, potentially, private communications with various family, friends, and associates that would expose undisclosed plans concerning his political future, names and contact details of his various associates and teams.
What real assurances does Trump have that personal information the FBI has no lawful interest in will not be vulnerable to leaks and a whole variety of political meddling? Or that the FBI won’t openly or surreptitiously give the J6 Committee Inquisitors full access to every document in Trump’s possession, contrary to any Constitutional provision his personal 4th Amendment rights, to say nothing of coequal branches of government?
They even brought in a safecracker despite the fact the contents of a personal safe usually require a separate warrant.
Democrats have a track record of destroying people whose ideas they cannot defeat in a fair fight.
Does anyone on the right really think this is just about Trump?
It’s about sending a message.
Trump was a threat to the D.C. uniparty establishment’s carefully established order of exchanging money and power with little or no consideration for the actual will of the people. (Or haven’t you noticed how these political insiders always seem to find ways to become fabulously wealthy after time in office?)
The Empire is Striking Back. Any threat to their delicate balance is to be dealt with … with extreme prejudice. In Chuck Schumer’s words, ‘Let me tell you: You take on the intelligence community — they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.’
Not just the IC, either. We have seen the politicization of a whole host of 3-letter agencies.
This Novemeber will be especially important as Americans make decisions about exactly what kind of a country it is we are living in.
