The icing on the cake is that this event was at the University of California at Berkley.
Dr. Peter Boghossian coauthored “How to Have Impossible Conversations: A Very Practical Guide” with James Lindsay, speaks at college campuses, and puts this into practice while addressing tough social topics.
In an event at UC Berkeley on April 19, 2022, he posed the question, “Should transwomen be legally treated as women?” and had three individuals walk to line markers on the floor that reflect their position. He then asks them their reasons and what it would take for them to change their position.
One young woman walks to the “agree” position, a middle-aged man walks to the “disagree” position, and one middle-aged woman walks to the “strongly disagree” position.
When Boghossian asked the woman why she strongly disagrees with the statement, she responded, “Because I’m a molecular geneticist.”
As he probes further, she says, “Being male or being female is a developmental process. You can’t go backwards, so you can’t change your sex. You cannot do that.”
She goes on to discuss female prisoners being impregnated by transwomen that are now being housed in women’s prisons because of their self-identification. She also says that male prisoners are more aggressive than female prisoners.
This woman is absolutely unwavering in her position.
A clip circulating on Twitter of this lady’s answer is going viral.
At a debate over "trans women" at UC Berkeley, a molecular geneticist said:
"Women have internalized misogyny to the point where the man's comfort takes precedence over the woman's safety.

But there was so much more that she said that was great as Boghossian questioned her. She even managed to convince one of her fellow participants to move over one position.

Exactly. Women’s safety is taking a back seat to a very tiny minority of men’s feelings.
