Credit Card Companies Target 2nd Amendment… Florida Gives Them The ‘Disney’ Treatment

The arrival of Trump on the political scene signaled the beginning of a new era in American politics in which Republicans are no longer afraid to punch back against their political enemies.

When credit cards announced they were creating a special new category for gun purchases made through their financial instruments, the left cheered. They saw it as a wonderfully clever workaround with those prohibitions against the federal government creating lists of gun owners.

Had companies tried this stunt just a few short years ago, the Right might have denounced it, yelled about it, and whined about it while doing practically nothing that would have actually STOPPED it.

But with the arrival first of Trump — and now DeSantis — the game has changed.

The defense of long-trampled rights of citizens is now taking priority and government policy is reflecting that shift.

Recent court decisions have already ruled that corporations have no intrinsic right to infringe on the Constitutional rights of private citizens.

Those rulings are the basis of a Florida pushback against this Credit Card announcement which will almost certainly be echoed by other Republicans sick of playing defense against the left’s authoritarian tactics.

Here’s what the press release from Florida’s CFO Jimmy Patronis had to say in response to the most recent credit card companies’ tactic to put gun purchasers on a defacto ‘list’ that could be acquired by the government.

CFO Jimmy Patronis: Florida Will Act Against Credit Card Companies Who Target the 2nd Amendment

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis issued a statement following recent media reports that credit card companies are going to start tracking gun and ammunition sales. The reports state that major credit card companies such as Visa, Mastercard and American Express have decided to apply a new sales code to distinguish firearm purchases at U.S. gun stores. Additionally, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals recently ruled on a Texas bill (NetChoice V. Ken Paxton), establishing that major corporations, including banking institutions, do not have a right to limit American’s constitutional rights.

CFO Jimmy Patronis said, “The second amendment is foundational to our American way of life. The idea that law-abiding Americans would be put on some kind of corporate watchlist is disturbing. Our rights come from our Creator, not the government, and especially not big corporations. It is clear that the actions by these credit card companies are part of a larger effort to curtail God-given constitutional rights of Americans. It is also symptomatic of the virus known as ESG, which is part of a global effort to socially re-engineer the country that we love so much. There is no way we are going to allow that to happen in the free state of Florida.

“If we come to the legislative session and companies like Visa, Mastercard and American Express are generating these reports to create a chilling effect against the purchase of firearms, then I’ll work with the Legislature to pass a law penalizing businesses who are targeting the right to bear arms. We’ve seen a groundbreaking ruling come out of the Fifth Circuit limiting corporations’ ability to curtail American’s constitutional rights, so we are on solid legal footing to pursue a bill protecting Floridians 2nd Amendment Rights. We can also take it a step further by barring these companies from doing any business with the State of Florida. We will send a message out to these large corporations that if you are interested in doing business with Florida, you need to make sure that you’re protecting Floridians right to arm and defend themselves.”

Something tells me the Framers would both approve of Patronis’ response and be shocked that such a decision ever became necessary.

If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive

Much of the Left loathes masculinity and they love to paint Jesus as a non-offensive bearded woman who endorses their agenda. This book blows that nonsense all to hell. From the stonking laptop of bestselling author, Doug Giles, comes a new book that focuses on Jesus’ overt masculine traits like no other books have heretofore. It’s informative, bold, hilarious, and scary. Giles has concluded, after many years of scouring the scripture that, If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive.
