Ouch! That one had to hurt!

Governor Ron DeSantis’s stunt to fly 48 migrants to Martha’s Vineyard so that they could “seek a better life” in a “Sanctuary” jurisdiction exposed the left’s hypocritical virtue signaling about illegal economic migrants.

Dems are all fine with open borders… right up until red state governors bring the border crisis to them.

It took less than 48 hours for the “Sanctuary” jurisdiction of Martha’s Vineyard to call in the National Guard and boot the Venezuelan asylum seekers off the island. So compassionate. So caring.

We’re hitting record numbers of illegal border crossings.

Since Biden took office, over 4 million people have illegally crossed the border seeking asylum and the vast majority of them will be rejected. The Biden admin has been releasing these asylum seekers, sometimes without even bothering to give them a court date to have their cases heard due to the overwhelmed immigration system.

Most remain in border states, but to ease pressure on local resources, the Biden admin began flying asylum seekers all over the country. This was apparently not a problem with the left.

The thing is, it will take years to hear asylum cases and by the time the few migrants that bother to show up for their court date, it’s often determined that these sweet migrants have already “made a life” in America. But what kind of life is it when they’ve been relegated to a life in the underground economy? It’s inhumane, but the Biden administration and the sycophantic Regime Media don’t seem to see this as a problem.

After 4 dozen asylum seekers were dropped off on the island playground of the rich and famous, suddenly sending illegal aliens to self-proclaimed “Sanctuary Cities” is a problem.

Sheriff Javier Salazar of Bexar County, Texas, announced on Monday that his office has opened an investigation into the “luring” of migrants from Bexar County to Florida and then on to Martha’s Vineyard.

However, Sheriff Salazar admitted in his presser that he could not name any laws that were broken and he did not name any suspects. So… what’s the point of this?

DeSantis’s office stated that the migrants were given a brochure that included information from the government of Massachusetts on resources available for refugees.

Salazar says that he was disturbed because the illegal migrants were “lured them with promises of a better life.”

Oh, you mean like what the cartels tell say to the desperate people before charging them outrageous amounts of money to bypass the legal immigration system and risk their lives to cross illegally?

Or is it the Democrats who have promised a robust social safety net including free healthcare to “undocumented” migrants?

That sure looks like incentive that might “lure” people to make the dangerous trek across the border.

But despite what Democrats say, sending the people fleeing Venezuela to Martha’s Vineyard is in no way similar to shipping them off to Auschwitz.

The Epoch Times reports that despite the claims by the locals that there’s no work on Martha’s Vineyard in the off-season, the local paper listed 50 help wanted ads.

While some locals have claimed that the illegal immigrants who arrived on this wealthy island should go elsewhere since there wouldn’t be work for them with the summer rush gone, the local newspaper has listed 50 help wanted ads in a recent issue, and the local supermarket chain has been known to need help all year long.

The classified section of the Vineyard Gazette listed more than 50 jobs in the same issue that ran a story about the illegal aliens, referring to them as “stranded migrants.” The job ads included positions for laborers, custodians, landscapers, bakers, cooks, dishwashers, technicians, library assistant, and several retail positions.

The local YMCA also listed several job openings, including housekeepers, ice arena workers, and a front desk administrator. The spacious Y, located near where the illegal immigrants spent the night at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, shares a complex with Martha’s Vineyard Community Services (MVCS), which also ran a help wanted ad in the paper, including a job for administrative assistant, “bilingual preferred.”

Huh. So there were jobs available on the island.

Speaking of political posturing… that’s precisely what the Bexar County Sheriff is doing. He’s using this particular situation as a political cudgel when he’s got his own problems with migrants.

DeSantis’s office fired back at the announcement of the investigation noting that in June, 53 migrants died in the trailer of an 18-wheeler in Bexar County.

The statement reads, “Immigrants have been more than willing to leave Bexar County after being abandoned, homeless, and ‘left to fend for themselves.’ Florida gave them an opportunity to seek greener pastures in a sanctuary jurisdiction that offered greater resources for them, as we expected. Unless the MA national guard has abandoned these individuals, they have been provided accommodations, sustenance, clothing and more options to succeed following their unfair enticement into the United States, unlike the 53 immigrants who died in a truck found abandoned in Bexar County this June.

Sounds like Sheriff Salazar should be paying more attention to how the cartels are risking the lives of thousands of illegal aliens on a daily basis instead of fixating on the Governer of Florida giving a few dozen migrants a free trip to one of the most exclusive islands in North America.

Perhaps, it would be best for everyone if Sheriff Salazar calls for the Biden administration to just close the border and enforce immigration law that we have on the books.

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
