While so many powerful people made money hand over fist while lying their way through the pandemic, others told the truth at great personal expense.
The latter was Tawny Buettner’s story, while serving as a nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Rady Children’s Hospital. Listings for Rady are in San Diego.
We have already seen examples of topics that were once verboten ‘misinformation’ that could have you unceremoniously removed from the internet that are now commonly accepted fact.
What makes this all the more odious is that the silencing has come from government officials desperate to craft a particular political narrative.
This shroud of silence put Tawny into an impossible choice: participate in the silence and keep her job, or speak up and possibly lose it.
Her silence would come with a different kind of cost. It would endanger children’s lives by failing to warn others about a known issue through proper reporting channels (VAERS) and lead to an untold number of children blindly walking into the danger of the same medical harm she was already encountering in her practice.

When she mentions Nathan’s name, she is referring to Nathan Fletcher who was the first supposed ‘public servant’ to declare misinformation a ‘public health crisis’.
San Diego County Board Chair Nathan Fletcher led an effort to make San Diego County the first city or county government in the country to declare health misinformation a public health crisis.
On August 31st, 2021, the measure passed by a 3-2 margin and represents the first step to recognizing health misinformation as the threat to public health that it is, and expresses the County’s commitment to taking the necessary steps to close the vaccine gap and realize better health outcomes by affirmatively countering health misinformation. — Supervisor Nathan Fletcher
His own website even uses Biden’s Orwellian phrasing ‘pandemic of the unvaccinaed’.
There are real-world harms for these draconian policies. Not just her, either, but the patients she would have helped as well.
Not to mention the useful data points that could have served as a warning had our experts in labcoats been more interested in their role as scientists and less in their role of self-important political mouthpieces.
