With Texas being famously pro-Second Amendment, breaking into anybody’s house there is a high-stakes gamble. You might even call it life-and-death. Seems these clods never got the memo.

Spending a Friday night at home with mom and the siblings is supposed to be uneventful. But for one family last week, it was anything but that.

Three armed men attempted to break into their home.

They would have been better off trying their luck in Canada where the use of a gun, even in self-defense, is considered a criminal act.

Fortunately for this family, they don’t live in Trudeau’s dystopia. They live in Texas where you actually have a right to defend yourself from armed intruders.

When deputies arrived at a family home last Friday night, any immediate danger to the homeowners had long since been dealt with… with one guy having fled to his vehicle and made his getaway.

The other two were not as lucky.

Investigators said the two men and a third unidentified suspect were armed and wearing masks during an “attempt to force entry” into the home.
A woman, a 12-year-old boy and two 17-year-old boys were inside the home during the attempted home invasion but were not injured, according to Gonzalez.
Deputies said one of the 17-year-olds retrieved a shotgun and discharged it several times, striking the two intruders.
The third suspect fled the scene in an unidentified, dark-colored 4-door sedan.
There were no other reported injuries.

The Sheriff’s message:

As you would expect, whenever there are fatalities, those deaths are to be taken seriously. An investigation will have to play out, where they determine whether the facts are as they have been described.

Barring any earth-shattering revelations that change key facts of this case, specifically the armed men in masks on the lawn with the air let out of them, it looks like one son stepped up and protected his family from three armed threats.

What we see in this situation is exactly what makes guns a special category of self-defense.

It doesn’t matter if you are old or young, male or female, or even frail or disabled. A firearm can even the odds even when an otherwise disadvantaged defender is facing multiple aggressors.

Before the rise of the personal firearm, the mom and sons would have been entirely at the mercy of their attackers. But not today, and not in that home.

When trouble came knocking on their door, they were ready for it.

If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive

Much of the Left loathes masculinity and they love to paint Jesus as a non-offensive bearded woman who endorses their agenda. This book blows that nonsense all to hell. From the stonking laptop of bestselling author, Doug Giles, comes a new book that focuses on Jesus’ overt masculine traits like no other books have heretofore. It’s informative, bold, hilarious, and scary. Giles has concluded, after many years of scouring the scripture that, If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive.
