Paul Pelosi Has Had A Rough 2022

It has been a rough year for Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

First, he was arrested in California during Memorial Day Weekend for driving under the influence of alcohol after he crashed into another vehicle. He eventually pled guilty, and his sentence consisted of five days in jail, a fine, a DUI program, and three years of probation.

After his DUI arrest became public, the Pelosi family referred to the incident as a “private matter” in an apparent attempt to sweep it under the rug. Fox News made several attempts to further investigate the matter by contacting the authorities in California but were not able to obtain much information. Obviously, Nancy Pelosi has been using her influence to indeed sweep the matter under the rug.

It should be noted that Paul Pelosi was involved in an accident when he was a teenager back in 1957. He had crashed into another vehicle, and his brother (who was a passenger) was killed.

Second, he was recently assaulted in the Pelosi’s home in San Francisco by David DePape, a 42-year-old nude activist and member of the Green Party as well as a conspiracy theorist. DePape broke into the Pelosi home, prompting Pelosi to call the police. When the police arrived, they found Pelosi and DePape struggling over a hammer. DePape then managed to take the hammer and strike Pelosi repeatedly with it, resulting in Pelosi having a fractured skull among other injuries. Pelosi was taken to the hospital and is recovering, while DePape was arrested.

During the incident, DePape had shouted “where is Nancy?” unaware that she was in Washington, D.C. at the time. She would eventually fly out to California to be with her husband.

According to DePape’s ex-girlfriend, DePape had been mentally ill for some time.

DePape’s motive has yet to be determined.

It is unclear how DePape was able to break into the Pelosi home. One would presume that the home would have a security system (and possibly a security detail given the Pelosi’s wealth).

Both Democrats and Republicans have condemned the attack. But that has not stopped some Democrats from blaming Republicans for the incident. Since DePape had inquired on the whereabouts of Nancy Pelosi, the White House stated that some of the January 6 rioters had asked the same question, hence suggesting that Pelosi and other Democrats are constantly being targeted for violence.

I’m certain that everyone has condemned the violence, but no one should be politicizing it.

I should also point out that on January 6 Nancy Pelosi had said she was willing to punch out Donald Trump and be happy to go to jail for doing so. Such statements prove how hypocritical she is.
