‘CLEANING HOUSE’ : With GOP Taking Gavel, Dems Get A Taste Of Their Own Medicine

Speaker Pelosi was a bully and the power of her gavel was an instrument of her malice. She was so ‘all-in’ on #Resist and the ‘get Trump’ movement that she never considered what would happen next.

But that bill will come due once House Democrats find themselves in the minority in January.

Democrats COULD HAVE taken note of what a narrow margin of victory the public had given them and understood that the American electorate had not given either party a true mandate. Had they done that, they would have looked for ways to rule by consensus. That would have actually given legitimacy to the ‘return to normalcy’ platform they ran on under Biden.

Instead, they vented their seething rage against Republicans and found ways to be both extreme in their push for politics that even Bernie Sanders would never have dared to give voice to in 2016, and petulant in their treatment of Republicans.

The flouting of all precedents in the J6 appointments (and their obscene use of subpoena power) was one example. Blocking house oversight from access to records from the Capitol Police was another. Republicans were totally stripped of committee assignments for using language considered beneath the dignity of Congress, while Democrats who do the same (or worse!) where not even called out by name in a milquetoast and generic statement about rejecting hate remain in positions of critical importance.

*ahem* Raucous Caucus: Pelosi Storms Out Of Closed-Door Meeting Over Omar’s Anti-Semitism

Meanwhile, Schiff routinely abused the powers of his committee not only to leak information damaging to his rivals and making allegations against his political rivals that not only had no basis in fact (‘more than circumstantial evidence’ against Trump; his dramatic reading of what he had falsely claimed was in the Zelensky conversation; hearing witnesses in the impeachment trial in a classified setting and then refusing to make evidence favorable to Trump’s innocence available for his defense; and even including the private personal information of other elected members of Congress in the evidence he published against Trump — some of which he acquired through means that no criminal prosecution would have been granted a warrant to produce.

These are the sorts of ‘Defenders of Democracy’ filling the ranks as faithful lieutenants in Pelosi’s self-serving administration.

But now, the gavel is no longer in their grasp.

Republicans have already made it clear that they will be doing a deep dive into the corruption in the Biden family — which is even worse news for Democrats than it was a couple of days ago because a mainstream outlet has finally come clean and admitted that the whole laptop is authentic.

Now that Pelosi has set a new precedent about kneecapping the other party by unilaterally overruling committee assignments of the minority, what does that mean for this NEW minority as represented by the Democrats?

He plans to KEEP his promise to block them from being in committees.

Here’s what he said in that clip boiled down to three key quotes.

“Eric Swalwell cannot get a security clearance in the public sector. Why would we give him a security clearance and the secrets to America?”

“You’ve got Adam Schiff who had lied to the American public time and again. We will not allow him to be on the committee either.”

“Congresswoman Omar, her antisemitic comments that have gone forward. We’re not going to let her be on Foreign Affairs.”

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
