In case you haven’t noticed, in a culture that’s openly at war with everything Christian, it takes more than an hour of church a week to pass that baton to a new generation.

What will it take? A ‘better program’ at church won’t be enough. Nor will a wholesome school that embraces the same moral standards as the parents. These may help, but to successfully raise little junior in the faith, believing parents need to look deeper. And they need to look in the mirror.

If you’re a parent (or know one) who wants to get this right, here are some practical ways — taken from scripture, of course — that will tilt the odds of success back in your favor.

While you’re at it, here’s his latest book:

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
