COVID Policies Led To Brand-New Maltreated Social Underclass, Study Shows

[CLICK TO BROWSE]

It’s one of the most predictable features of left-wing policy. In pushing ‘solutions’ for one problem they create a worse one to replace it.

In this instance, the left was tripping over themselves to show how ‘tolerant’ they were in the lockdowns.

COVID was given as a rationale for letting people out of prison. (Predictably, some immediately went on to re-offend.)

Hotels were compelled to accept homeless people because of COVID — their hotels were damaged and paying patrons were exposed to danger.

Again and again we were exposed to news stories that always seemed to find a ‘minorities hurt most’ angle to a COVID tragedy.

But there was one glaring omission in the stories our feckless media hacks would tell about COVID. One group really WAS experiencing disproportionate harm during the pandemic. It’s a group that didn’t even exist until 2020.

The publicly-available summary of the study’s findings — verbatim — are included in the dense text block below.

We look forward to self-righteous victims’ rights groups getting loud and proud of people who have been found to be discriminated against to a degree, and I quote, ‘as high as the discriminatory attitudes suffered by common targets like immigrant and minority populations’.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, sizeable groups of unvaccinated minorities persist even in countries with high vaccine access. Consequently, vaccination became a controversial subject of debate and even protest. Here, we assess whether people express discriminatory attitudes in the form of negative affect, stereotypes and exclusionary attitudes in family and political settings across groups defined by COVID-19 vaccination status. We quantify discriminatory attitudes between vaccinated and unvaccinated citizens in 21 countries, covering a diverse set of cultures across the world. Across three conjoint experimental studies (N=15,233), we demonstrate that vaccinated people express discriminatory attitudes towards the unvaccinated, as high as the discriminatory attitudes suffered by common targets like immigrant and minority populations. In contrast, there is an absence of evidence that unvaccinated individuals display discriminatory attitudes towards vaccinated people, except for the presence of negative affect in Germany and United States. We find evidence in support of discriminatory attitudes against the unvaccinated in all countries except Hungary and Romania and find that discriminatory attitudes are more strongly expressed in cultures with stronger cooperative norms. Prior research on the psychology of cooperation has shown that individuals react negatively against perceived free-riders6,7 including in the domain of vaccinations. Consistent with this, the present findings suggest that contributors to the public good of epidemic control (i.e., the vaccinated) react with discriminatory attitudes against perceived free-riders (i.e., the unvaccinated). Elites and the vaccinated general public appealed to moral obligations to increase COVID-19 vaccine uptake10,11 but the present findings suggest that discriminatory attitudes including support for the removal of fundamental rights simultaneously emerged.

That would put a whole new human rights spin on those Biden-mandated firings in the Federal government and military, wouldn’t it?

How about the Canadian Government, where we keep seeing courts (eventually) finding in favor of Canadian citizens or even clergy who have had their rights unlawfully tramples by COVIDicatators or even Mr. Blackface Hitler himself, Justin Trudeau who went so far as to suspend the rule of law entirely in his beat-down of Canadian Truckers who were, it turns out, peacefully petitioning their government in a redress of harms they were suffering due to the vaccine mandate. They were slandered by their own government and had their finances frozen without a trial.

Is the general public affected by this? Polls say ‘yes’.

Duke University is coming under fire for refusing a life-saving kidney transplant to a dying 14-year-old girl who has not had the COVID vaccine.
Yulia Hicks, who is a rescued orphan from Ukraine, was finally adopted by a family in North Carolina after she came to the United States from the war-torn nation. The Hicks family, a Christian couple with 11 children, adopted her to provide her a loving family.
Tragically, Yulia has a genetic kidney disorder and the family brought her to Duke University hospital for medical assistance.
But on November 29, the Hicks family got some shocking news about their daughter — that it would not give her a kidney transplant because she had not had the COVID vaccine.

Hey ACLU.

Here’s your chance to prove you’re not just a wholly-owned subsidiary of Billionaire Democrat donors.

Next time some bleeding-heart Democrat tries to throw your ‘lack of concern’ for a cause-du-jour in your face, remind them of their own silence in this one.

Dear Christian: Your Fear Is Full of Crap

by Doug Giles

Beginning in March 2020, many Christians went into lockdown-freak-out mode. Uncut, irrational, unbiblical, and not to mention, unconstitutional, fear gripped many churches and church leaders. Forced to choose between obeying the Word of God or the edict of man, most Western Churches buckled. We even saw it here in First Amendment-protected America.

The Apostle Peter buckled to fear on the night of Christ’s crucifixion. But he learned his lesson and lived the rest of his life bold as a lion. How can the church ‘go and do likewise’?
