The Disciples Were Terrified Of Jesus Because Of This

Ever have a friend who was just ‘one of the guys’ until that one day when he shows some kind of a skillset that drops your jaw to the floor and completely redefines your relationship?

The disciples did.

It’s hard to wrap your head around it, really. God gives wayward Israel for freaking centuries of the silent treatmet until one day — BOOM — blind eyes were opening, lame legs jumped up and danced across the room and, for a cherry on top, the Nazarene took on a legion of demons and sent them packing.

Would you see all of that and say ‘ho-hum’? Don’t be so fast to say no. Because they did… at least a little.

They had all the clues they needed to know who and what they were really dealing with, but it took one encounter, away from the press of the crowds, to see exactly who and what it is they were really dealing with.

They found themselves in ONE situation that put the final nail in the coffin of any ho-hum thinking about this walking with Jesus situation.

And there’s a critical lesson in there for us today.
