Fourteen Killed In Cartel Prisonbreak On Mexican Border

Just across the border form El Paso, criminal cartels now flush with cash have gotten bolder in their clashes with law enforcement.

They brought armored vehicles in an effort to break people out of a Mexican prison. It proved to be both deadly and effective.

Ten guards and four inmates were killed early Sunday when gunmen in armored vehicles attacked a state prison in Ciudad Juarez across the border from El Paso, Texas, according to state officials.
The Chihuahua state prosecutor’s office said in a statement that around 7 a.m. various armored vehicles arrived at the prison and gunmen opened fire on guards. In addition to those killed, 13 people were wounded and at least 24 inmates escaped.
Mexican soldiers and state police regained control of the prison later Sunday. The state prosecutor’s office said its personnel were investigating.

With ongoing escalation of violence on the Mexican side of that border and so many Mexican cities near the top of the per-capita murder rates, it defies explanation why so many have remained indifferent to the Biden administration’s refusal to enforce security at the southern border.

The ordinary people can be a strain on the system to be sure. But the more imminent threat is from anyone connected to violent cartels like the one behind this prison break… including the migrants who risk their own lives by enlisting cartel help in crossing the border.

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
