Pending Legislation In Israel Throws Spotlight On Joe Biden’s Lawlessness Here At Home

The squad has been (by their standards) pretty quiet. That’s about to change in a hurry if Israel passes certain pending legislation.

The problem is, if they DO start kicking up a ruckus, that causes a real problem for pro-Palestine Democrats who have been actively defying US law.

We’ll start with the pending legislation.

As you read this quote, recall that in Israel’s context, PA is a reference to the Palestinian Authority, the government elected to hold power over Palestinian portions of the nation of Israel.

A bill to revoke Israeli citizenship from terrorists who have received monetary compensation from the Palestinian Authority passed the first reading in the Knesset on Monday evening after being approved by the Internal Affairs and Environment Committee in the morning.
It passed with 89 votes, representing broad support from the coalition and opposition. The bill also received bipartisan support in the committee.
The fledgling law establishes a relationship between terrorists and the PA, which would allow their deportation to Palestinian territories in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Despite the fact that this law will apply only to ‘terrorists with a proven financial tie to PA’, Democrats will almost certainly use this legislation to whip up allegations of Israeli apartheid. Expect Rashida Tlaib to be among the loudest voices in that crowd.

This legislation serves as a stark reminder that the Palestinian Authority — with whom Blinken is meeting on his current Middle East visit — pays the family of Jew-murdering terrorists the kind of compensation we would reserve for honored military veterans.

Definitionally, this puts Palestinian Authority in the category of a terrorist government. Why does that matter?

It matters because Joe Biden reversed a Trump policy of withholding aid from Palestine.
As a recap, here’s a BBC headline from just a few months into Joe’s Presidential term.

.

It was in the works from day one: NPR announced it as a ‘Biden transition update’ within a week of his taking office.

It was contested by the GOP and brought to court. No headlines were published on the topic after 2021… and the public thought no more of it.

And yet, a few weeks ago a lawsuit was launched against the Biden government by American victims of Palestinian terror attacks.

Victims of Palestinian terror attacks are suing the Biden administration for awarding nearly half a billion dollars in U.S. taxpayer funds to the Palestinian government, which allegedly uses these funds to pay convicted terrorists and their families.
The lawsuit, filed in federal court on Tuesday by American victims of Palestinian terror attacks and Rep. Ronny Jackson (R., Texas), alleges the Biden administration is in violation of federal law for resuming U.S. aid to the Palestinian government, according to a copy of the lawsuit exclusively obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. The Trump administration froze these funds due to the Palestinian government’s financial support for terrorists as part of a program known as pay-to-slay.

So apparently, he found a way to give them that money anyway. Perhaps it was buried in one of those massive bills that Senators were given about seven minutes to read before passing it.

According to US law, Biden had no legal authority to give them a dime. Here’s why:

It’s called the Taylor Force Act.

(Sec. 4) This bill prohibits certain FY2018-FY2023 economic support assistance that directly benefits the Palestinian Authority (PA) from being made available for the West Bank and Gaza unless the Department of State certifies that the PA, the Palestine Liberation Organization, and any successor or affiliated organizations:

-are taking steps to end acts of violence against U.S. and Israeli citizens perpetrated by individuals under their jurisdictional control, such as the March 2016 attack that killed former Army officer Taylor Force;
-have revoked any law, decree, or document authorizing or implementing a system of compensation for imprisoned individuals that uses the sentence or incarceration period to determine compensation;
-have terminated payments for acts of terrorism against U.S. and Israeli citizens to any individual who has been fairly tried and imprisoned for such acts, to any individual who died committing such acts, and to family members of such an individual; and
are publicly condemning such acts of violence and are investigating such acts.
This assistance limitation shall not apply to: (1) the East Jerusalem Hospital Network, (2) wastewater projects, and (3) children’s vaccination projects.

Withheld funds shall remain available for up to two years before being reallocated.

(Sec. 5) The bill prescribes initial and annual reporting requirements.

In short, Biden (and Pelosi and Schumer) have been giving your tax dollars to terrorists… even when the law explicitly forbids it.
