With Trump the clear leader in the Republican primary, it is difficult to see such an announcement as anything other than a flagrant attempt to disqualify the one politician posing the greatest threat to the political left.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis plans to announce this summer whether she’ll bring charges against former President Donald Trump or his allies for their attempts to overturn Georgia’s 2020 presidential election results, according to a letter obtained by CNN.
Willis told local law enforcement officials in a letter that she plans to make an announcement on possible charges between July 11 and September 1.
The letter is another strong indication that Willis is seriously weighing bringing racketeering and conspiracy charges in connection with Trump’s actions in the Peach State around the 2020 election, as CNN has reported.
“I am providing this letter to bring to your attention the need for heightened security and preparedness in coming months due to this pending announcement,” Willis, a Democrat, wrote. –CNN
July through September is when a Grand Jury would be seated in Georgia, and the unending process of hanging yet another black cloud over the head of their political nemesis will proceed apace. It’s a shameless attempt at election interference, but we now live in an ends-justifies-the-means era of political expediency, so what else should we expect?
Worth Noting: when talking about the investigation in Georgia, reference is always made to certain a ‘infamous phone call’ Trump made with Ravensburger to ‘find the votes’. In yet another example of news media malfeasance deceiving the citizenry, the ‘find the votes’ quote they love to hang around Trump’s neck is itself fraudulent.
