Conservatives around the world are fighting a historic battle against “Marxist globalists, and communists” said former President Trump.
On Friday, former President Donald Trump appeared via pre-recorded video at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Hungary. He had not been listed among the slate of speakers, but the brief video was played at the beginning of the second day of the conference.
Trump began his address by briefly thanking Matt and Mercedes Schlapp as well as Miklós Szánthó, the Director of the Center for Fundamental Rights, for organizing the event.
He then sent his regards to Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, a right-wing populist, praising him as a “tremendous leader.”
“It’s a true honor to address the freedom-loving patriots gathered in Hungary to celebrate the timeless values and principles that unite conservatives all over the world,” said Trump. “They’re united and it’s hot because they know what’s happening and they’re doing well.”
“Together we believe that faith and family are the bedrock of a good and free society. We believe that a nation without borders is not a nation at all. We believe in tradition, the rule of law, freedom of speech, and the God-given dignity of every human life,” continued Trump.
“These are the ideas that bind together our movement, and these are the ideas that will save Western civilization. And believe it or not, it needs saving. It is in serious trouble,” he said. “As you know, we are now engaged in a historic battle with the Marxist globalists and communists all over the world. We’re fighting against barbarians who want to demolish our liberty and our traditions and everything we hold dear.”
“As I said in Warsaw six years ago, all of us — both in Europe and in America — must stand together to defend our culture, our borders, our Judeo-Christian values, our identity, and our way of life from those who want to destroy our beloved nations,” said Trump adding, “We will win.”
“As President, I was honored to strengthen the special relationship between the United States and Hungary over four incredible years. A relationship we had also largely due to Viktor and his incredible staff and people working with him.”
“To the people of Hungary and conservatives throughout Europe, keep up the fight and never waver in defense of our freedom and our civilization. We have the communists and globalists in retreat, and as long as we press confidently ahead, we will absolutely win. We’re winning now and we will close it out,” said Trump.
“Thank you once again, and everyone — CPAC Hungary, what a great job you’re doing! God Bless you and God Bless America,” Tump concluded.
