It looks like whoever is running the President’s Twitter account might not be doing so for much longer.
First, it was the pair of tweets posted on Sunday that got the “Community Note” treatment…

…and now it’s an awkwardly timed tweet pushing one of the Biden administration’s stated goals.
The news that made a big splash this morning was that a 40-car freight train derailed in Pennsylvania, and authorities were evacuating the area “out of abundance of caution” because a number of cars were carrying hazardous materials.
WHITEMARSH TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Emergency crews responded to the scene of a train derailment in Montgomery County, which prompted temporary evacuations in the area.
According to authorities, 16 cars on a CSX train derailed in the area of Stenton Avenue, Flourtown Road and Joshua Road in Whitemarsh Township early Monday morning.
Emergency crews from multiple agencies and local fire departments responded to the derailment, according to Todd Stieritz, the Public Affairs Coordinator for the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety.
While on scene, crews learned the cars were carrying different chemical materials, including Urea, tetrafluoroethylene, polyethylene or silicone pellets and trash.

CSX released a statement about the derailment:
At approximately 4:50 a.m. ET today, a CSX train carrying 40 cars derailed around 16 cars on Norfolk Southern tracks near the intersection of Joshua and Flourtown Road in Whitemarsh, PA. While preliminary reports indicate that one car transporting hazardous material was involved in the incident, there is no indication of any leaks or spills of hazardous materials and there are no injuries to the crew of the train. The local fire department responded and declared an evacuation of just over a dozen homes out of an abundance of caution.
Hours later, the Twitter account for the President tweeted about the Biden administration’s commitment to building a rail system for the 21st century.

Seems like bad timing, no?
Maybe learn to read the room, guys!
That’s the Biden administration’s take on rail — they’re committed to it, but no comment on the derailment in Pennsylvania.
Typical.
As for the Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, he didn’t bother to comment on it, either. He just retweeted a tweet from the Federal Railroad Administration.
Preachy Pete sure is doing a real bang-up job with this portfolio, isn’t he?
On his watch, we’ve had a couple of major train derailments, months of flight delays, and a broken supply chain that caused a shortage of infant formula. Meanwhile, the Treasury Secretary, (when he finally returned after parental leave,) keeps very busy working to decolonize bridges or something.
He’s almost as good at handling his portfolio as Kamala is as Border Czar.
It looks like Joe Biden has filled his cabinet with people just as competent as he is.
