Trump, DeSantis Campaigns Rake In YUGE Hauls For 2nd Quarter
Many experts already see the GOP race as done and dusted. Trump may yet hold that lead, but numbers like these remind us that there is still a long way to go before we know for sure.
As large as the the field of candidates has become, Trump v. DeSantis is still the main event.
With the money their campaigns are hauling in, that’s unlikely to change any time soon.
Let’s start with the challenger’s numbers, as reported by DailyWire
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis‘ presidential campaign raised more money in its first quarter than former President Donald Trump’s current campaign raised in its first two quarters combined, according to newly released data.
The DeSantis campaign announced that it raised $20 million in its first six weeks, which it boasted was “the largest first-quarter filing from any non-incumbent Republican candidate in more than a decade.”
“It bests the $18.3 million former president and quasi-incumbent Donald Trump’s campaign raised during its first two fundraising quarters as a candidate ($3.8 in Q4 2022 and $14.5 in Q1 2023),” the campaign added.

Of course, every political campaign will frame their numbers in the best possible light, and team DeSantis is no different.
How does the Trump campaign’s second quarter compare?
DeSantis highlighted the direct donations to his own campaign (which becomes especially relevant when you consider the enormous pricing advantage personal campaigns have against PACs when it comes buying TV ad time).
The Trump campaign was edged out in the direct donations, but Team Trump highlighted the fact that between his own campaign and those aligned with him, they pulled in more between April 1st and June 30th.
The campaign of former President Donald Trump announced on July 5 that he raised more than $35 million for his White House bid in the second fundraising quarter, nearly double what he raised in the first quarter of the year.

The Trump campaign reported raising $18.8 million between his principal campaign account and a joint fundraising account during the first three months of 2024.

Mr. Trump’s campaign announced last month that it had raised over $6.6 million in the days following his second indictment—this time in Miami on federal charges related to his reported stockpiling of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago and alleged attempts to obstruct their return.
This included over $4.5 million in online donations and $2.1 million raised at a lavish fundraiser held the night of his arraignment at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey. –EpochTimes
To counter, Team DeSantis extands the calender back to March, when he first announced, showing the totality of what his PAC has taken in since they started raising money for what was then his still-pending run.
The presidential campaign of Gov. Ron DeSantis announced robust fundraising results on July 6, saying his campaign raised $20 million in its first six weeks. In the meantime, his independent Super PAC has raised $130 million since its launch in early March.

This sounds like two campaigns that are gearing up to slug it out.
John The Baptist: A Rude Awakening Precedes A Great Awakening.
This timely little tome chronicles the politically incorrect ministry of one of God’s most effective wildmen, John the Baptist, who prepared the way for Christ’s ministry.
The abrasive message of repentance John preached 2000 years ago is still confrontational and offensive today — but it is also life-changing.
In our putrid, worldly culture that has turned away from God, this book is a must-read for every Christian.
Available in paperback for those of you who like the feel of the pages in your hot, little hands, on Kindle to keep it right at your fingertips, and as an epic Audiobook.
