Jim Jordan’s had a very busy year. His latest project involves digging into how the Biden White House pressured Social Media to silence free speech.
House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) is unveiling an investigation into a purported “misinformation” tracking group he says engaged in “censorship” of disfavored speech on social media alongside the Biden administration.
Center for Countering Digital Hate, a British nonprofit group with an affiliated U.S. charity, was accused in a Monday lawsuit by X Corp., formerly Twitter, of making “false” claims after alleging hate speech spiked on the platform since Elon Musk’s October takeover. Now, Jordan is demanding the center hand over records by Aug. 17 that could detail the extent of its White House-linked efforts targeting the First Amendment, according to a letter the chairman sent to the center on Thursday.
“We know from the Facebook Files that the Center for Countering Digital Hate was working with the White House to censor speech,” a senior GOP congressional aide with knowledge of the inquiry said. “But how far did it go? Republicans want to find out, and of course subpoenas are on the table if we don’t get answers.” —Washington Examiner

Earlier lawsuits have already shone a light on how the White House pressured private companies to censor speech relating to that which must never be said about COVID. This includes many statements that were later proven to be factually true and questions we were forbidden to ask in public.
But Jordan has uncovered conversations in which WH staffers have directly called for the censoring of media organizations that lean to the political right.

They were using the power of their administration to silence political opposition to official D.C. narratives right from the get-go. (RFK Jr. could tell you all about that.)
American jurisprudence has made it very clear that anything the government is forbidden to do directly, they are also forbidden to do indirectly through the power of a proxy. That prohibition obviously extends to staffers like White House Digital Director Rob Flaherty.
In this instance, the government is Constitutionally forbidden to curtail speech. That means it is every bit as lawless to invite someone else to curtail speech on their behalf. That includes Social Media and their other Silicon Valley buddies.
This story is still fresh, and Daily Wire is still weighing their options in light of this revelation. What we DO know is that they happen to be the one company of any size that took Joe Biden to court over the ridiculous COVID jab mandate.
They won that case. They aren’t afraid to do it again.

They are looking into their options.
This goes beyond just suing for damages. This could constitute a criminal act in which people from the White House AND Facebook could be held personally liable… for using the power of the government to suppress the Civil Rights of Americans.
Isn’t this a delicious development? Biden officials having media companies press charges against them for deliberate First Amendment violations?
This wouldn’t look good for the Democrats ‘soul of the nation’ and ‘defenders of democracy’ brand now, would it?
