What started with an anonymous tip and a phone call to Ashley Biden ended in a ridiculously brazen violation of all journalistic First Amendment protections.
Project Veritas got a call saying that some of Ashley Biden’s personal effects had been left behind in a room she had been renting. Those effects included (among other items) a diary.
The bag came into Project Veritas’s possession through entirely legal means. They contacted Ashley Biden by phone to confirm the effects were hers. She named some third party to whom she was supposed to give them. They eventually decided to turn the contents over to law enforcement.
Then all hell broke loose.
