The famed astrophysicist and science guru posted a TikTok video staunchly defending the concept of “gender identity” … but his argument was fatally flawed. 19-year-old Chloe Cole destroys it in 2 minutes.
This is the kind of content that social media was created for.
It’s no secret that science has been captured by ideology — we have seen that for a long time with climate science and we’re now seeing it with radical gender ideology.
It’s a situation that is causing a lot of concern a number of scientists and researchers who are opposed to gender ideology that is being pushed to justify the “transition” of minors with the use of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and even surgery — without any real evidence that these measures help alleviate gender dysphoria. The studies that have been conducted are often suspect in their accuracy because of the biased funding source or the standards with which they are conducted, and most don’t account for the new cohort of teen girls just entering puberty that are suddenly identifying as transgender or non-binary.

A growing number of detransitioners — those who had identified as transgender, attempted some form of transition and then reverted back to their natal sex — are sounding the alarm on the harm that they have endured because of the view that gender is self-determined and not biological.
Some have become activists against the gender ideology that caused them harm — one of those activists is Chloe Cole.
Cole recently testified in front of Congress warning about the consequences of so-called “gender-affirming care” on a minor.

Now, she’s pushing back on claims made by Neil DeGrasse Tyson on his TikTok account.
“I watched @neiltyson flail around trying to describe gender as a spectrum and decided to refute some of his points in a short video,” Chloe Cole captioned her video post on the social media platform now called X.
In the TikTok video, Neil DeGrasse Tyson insisted that biology is “insufficient” to explain gender ideology.
“Apparently the XX/XY chromosomes are insufficient, because when we wake up in the morning we exaggerate whatever feature we want to portray the gender of our choice,” Tyson said.
Cole blasted Tyson’s bizarre conflation of biology with personality.
“How about we stop confusing basic human biology with cosmetics,” said Cole. “Like what a weird jump. I don’t wear makeup most days. If I leave the house without makeup on, does that make me like 70% male?”
Tyson then tried to invoke the “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness” phrase from the Declaration of Independence to justify his position, but Cole smashed that down, too.
“If it was only truly about aesthetics, nobody would care. It’s my business because you’re using 1950s gender stereotypes for an ideology that leads to the sterilization and mastectomies of 15-year-old girls who just don’t fit in — girls like me,” said Cole.
The video then goes back to Tyson saying, “Suppose no matter my chromosomes, today I feel 80% female, 20% male — I’m gonna put on makeup. Tomorrow, I might feel 80% male…”
“I wonder what his gender was when he recorded this,” said Cole taking a swipe at Tyson. “He doesn’t have a muscle shirt on, right? No spray tan, no falsies — probably like 50% male?”
The video goes back to Tyson using gender stereotypes like wearing makeup and certain clothing to insist that gender is on a spectrum and not based on biology.
Cole then addresses that with *chef’s kiss* perfection…
“Because the only thing that you’ve established in this video is that men wear trousers and tank tops, but women they wear lipstick and dresses,” said Cole.
“The idea that people can be percentages of either male or female just further reinforces that fact that biological sex is a binary. There’s only two,” she added.
“There may only be two sexes, but there are an infinite number of personalities,” concluded Cole. Then she moved for the coup de grâce, (or in this case maybe it’s the coup DeGrasse,) “I mean, it really doesn’t take a degree in astrophysics to know that.”
Someone besides the genius that runs the Steak-umm social media account needed to put that self-important blowhard Tyson in his place. He’s constantly spouting off on things that he barely understands because he has the title of astrophysicist.
Clearly he has no concept of the danger that the Gender Ideology Cult poses to vulnerable individuals — especially children and teens who don’t quite fit in.
Chloe Cole understands that very well, and quite literally bears the scars of this ideology.
Maybe we should listen to her instead of some so-called science “expert” who is using 1950s gender stereotypes to justify the genital mutilation and sterilization of children, hmmm?
Congrats to Chloe Cole for continuing to stand up to the radical gender ideologues pushing this destructive, anti-science
In Doug Giles’ latest book, Biblical Badasses: The Women, Giles spotlights ten epic ladies who did awesome things for God with the odds severely stacked against them.
