It should be clear from the blatant stonewalling Biden officials have been giving Congress that we are not looking at good-faith interactions from these people.
That puts the current relationship between the Democrat-controlled Executive branch and the Republican-controlled Congress in the proper perspective. It is in a season of open hostility, rather than grudging cooperation.
This makes it more important than ever that each branch is aware of the tools it has at their disposal to rein in the other side’s overreach.
With obvious evidence that the Executive has gone rogue, including selective prosecution on the law enforcement side and using the excuse of ‘ongoing cases’ to blow off their Constitutional responsibilities of responding to oversight… and even going so far as hiding documents under subpoena, or redacting embarrassing elements on those documents when they do give them up.
If the Executive can play cutesy games like that… what stops Congress from using their own authority to block Executive action?
Matt Gaetz floats a plan for how Congress could immunize Trump from the obvious attempt of Biden’s DOJ to use lawfare tactics to divert Trump’s money and energy into defending himself in court rather than campaigning to defeat Joe Biden.
Here’s the interview where Matt lays out his plan to throw some wrenches in Jack Smith’s plan to drown Trump in legal process.
Congressman @mattgaetz has a BOLD plan he believes could immunize Donald Trump from Jack Smith's politically weaponized crusade: Bring Trump in to testify before the House as a whistleblower, thereby triggering certain preexisting immunity protections.
Will it work? No idea.… pic.twitter.com/DvgTerduE8

If the other side is fighting with bare knuckles and razorblades, it’s somewhere between foolish and suicidal to ignore any valid means by which you can defend yourself.
The abrasive message of repentance John preached 2000 years ago is still confrontational and offensive today — but it is also life-changing.
In our putrid, worldly culture that has turned away from God, this book is a must-read for every Christian.
