MUST WATCH: This Working Man’s Lament Perfectly Captures What Got Trump Elected In The First Place (VIDEO)

If Oliver Anthony wasn’t already a household name that might be about to change. His ‘Rich Men North Of Richmand’ is setting the internet on fire!

The minimalist style of his rich voice backed by his own strumming perfectly suits the pathos of the song and the urgency of his complaint.

Anybody can say ‘America is trouble’, or ‘politicians are corrupt’, or that working stiffs are getting screwed over by DC.

But when you put those ideas into the mouth of a genuine poet with a voice like his? Something magical happens.

This isn’t the kind of poetry you’ll read in an English Lit class. It’s gritty. It’s real. It pulls no punches and has, as the saying goes, ‘absolutely no f*cks given’ about who might get offended by it.

Some of his bareknuckle lines include: “I wish politicians would look out for miners and not just minors on an island” … “folks on the street ain’t got nothing to eat while the obese milking welfare // if you’re five-foot-three and you’re 300 pounds, taxes ought not to pay for your bags of fudge rounds” … “wish I could just wake up and have it not be true”… “Rich men North of Richmond want to have total control”

It’s the heart cry of an honest man who is seeing what the crooked ones have done to a country he’s loved his whole life… and crying out for justice in the true and original sense of the word before it got corrupted by adjectives like ‘social’ or ‘environmental’.

In short, he is the embodiment of the class of citizen that Trump introduced to America as ‘the forgotten man’.

The story behind his music is even better:

The man lives off the grid with his 3 dogs on 90 acres in Virginia. his life came to a turning point just a few years ago.

Anthony’s past includes struggles with mental health, alcohol addiction and the despair felt by so many people navigating life in the 2020s. Things came to a head one night, and Anthony knew he had a decision to make.

“Though he wasn’t a religious man, that night he promised God to get sober if he helped him follow his dream,” Howerton explained.

Anthony was only 30 days sober when someone reached out to help him record his songs to share online. Then John Rich came forward with an offer to produce Anthony’s full record.

Isn’t it just so incredible what can happen when you surrender yourself and your soul to God? I know I wouldn’t be here without having done the same. — DailyCaller

That sudden success may not be everybody’s redemption story, but it’s his, and we celebrate it.

John The Baptist: A Rude Awakening Precedes A Great Awakening.

This timely little tome chronicles the politically incorrect ministry of one of God’s most effective wildmen, John the Baptist, who prepared the way for Christ’s ministry.

The abrasive message of repentance John preached 2000 years ago is still confrontational and offensive today — but it is also life-changing.

In our putrid, worldly culture that has turned away from God, this book is a must-read for every Christian.

Available in paperback for those of you who like the feel of the pages in your hot, little hands, on Kindle to keep it right at your fingertips, and as an epic Audiobook.
