Trudeau’s Tyranny — A Pastor Artur Pawlowski Update From America’s Hat

As ugly as the authoritarian instincts of the American strain of COVIDictators may have been — other countries had far worse strains of them.

One of the uglier examples in the world was that of our Northern Neighbors.

Not only was the federal hostility to anyone who dared deviate from the over-the-top demands of Trudeau and his cronies the stuff of international headlines, including a moment where Trudeau was called a fascist to his face — by the European union — for suspending the Canadian Charter of Rights and (literally!) trampling on unarmed protesters…

But the folks in labcoats felt the rush of power and took the opportunity of a pandemic to justify a power grab of their own, proving, once again, the validity of Lord Action’s most famous quote.

There, as elsewhere, ministers with medical backgrounds used their expertise to bully less informed politicians about what actions absolutely MUST be taken… lest the worst kind of a catastrophe happen.

As Cuomo so memorably put it — failing to comply to these health orders would ‘kill grandmas’.

Not everyone was so docile.

In particular, a few pastors told the government to pound sand… and that they had neither any right nor any authority to shut down any peaceful assembly of Christians gathered to worship God.

Artur Pawlowski was one of the more colorful examples of that pastoral defiance of government overreach… and (as someone who had once lived behind the Iron Curtain and understood totalitarians) became one the faces of the opposition to Canada’s jackboot response to the WuFlu.

He was arrested several times and released several times. Charges against many of the pastors were dropped.

But at the same time as the trucker protests in Ottawa, there was another protest at the Canada/USA border. Pastor Artur gave a speech encouraging the protesters at a restaurant that served as a nearby gathering point.

Wanting to make an example of him AGAIN, he was hit with charges that could have resulted in a ten-year prison sentence.

In the end, the crown prosecutors had to settle for a mischief charge and 60 days in jail — which was less than the 78 days he had already been held in jail for pre-trial detention.

So he’s once again a free man.

As you can probably tell, he had a pretty good crowd of supporters there to cheer him on.

Here’s an interview.

Dear Christian: Your Fear Is Full of Crap

by Doug Giles

Beginning in March 2020, many Christians went into lockdown-freak-out mode. Uncut, irrational, unbiblical, and not to mention, unconstitutional, fear gripped many churches and church leaders. Forced to choose between obeying the Word of God or the edict of man, most Western Churches buckled. We even saw it here in First Amendment-protected America.

The Apostle Peter buckled to fear on the night of Christ’s crucifixion. But he learned his lesson and lived the rest of his life bold as a lion. How can the church ‘go and do likewise’?

Read the book and find out!
