OOPS: Staffer In Biden Admin Got Busted In Human Trafficking Sting

Biden has been in the hotseat over human trafficking ... this won't help

One of the big criticisms faced by the Biden administration is that their policy decisions have left a door wide open for criminal behavior.

Team Biden is part of the problem… twice over.

Bad policy is one thing. Bad personnel is yet another.

It’s bad enough that Joe is part of the supply-side problem because his policies invite human traffickers to kick their operations into high gear.

How much worse is it to have his own upper-tier Pentagon Personnel as part of the demand-side problem?

Stephen Hovanic 64, of Georgia, was arrested as one of the accused in a human trafficking sting. He now faces several criminal charges.

Who is he?

According to Stephen Hovanic’s biography, which no longer exists on the Defence Department’s website, he joined as the chief of staff for the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Americas in October 2010. Hovanic had a long career of 40 years working as an educator.

Before joining the DoDEA, Hovanic worked as a high school vocational teacher, coach, and school administrator in the Virginia public school system. Later he became assistant principal of Quantico High School in 1996.
Notably, the DoDEA is a federal agency that oversees the elementary education of military families. Apart from Hovanic, 25 other suspects were also taken into custody. They were accused of human trafficking, facilitating drugs, weapons, and warrants.

What were the circumstances of that arrest?

Stephen Hovanic, 64, of Sharpsburg, Georgia, was arrested Nov. 15 in a sting that netted 25 additional suspects on charges related to prostitution as well as drugs, weapons and warrants, according to the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office and its Police to Citizen Portal website.

Hovanic was charged with pandering — a crime that involves inducing or compelling an individual to take part in prostitution. In Georgia, it is a misdemeanor charge that includes soliciting the services of a prostitute, either for oneself or an arrangement for a third party.

“Pandering is not a victimless crime, as the demand for prostitution drives the sex-trafficking market,” Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Toby Nix told the Newnan Times-Herald, a local newspaper, on Nov. 17.

Hovanic has served as chief of staff for DoDEA Americas since October 2010, according to his Defense Department biography, which has since been removed from the DoDEA website. An educator for more than 40 years, he worked as a high school vocational teacher, coach and school administrator in the Virginia public school system before joining DoDEA as assistant principal of Quantico High School in 1996.
[…] The sting operation was a coordinated effort between the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office; the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office; the Department of Homeland Security; and the nonprofit Frontline Response Out of Darkness team, an organization focused on rescuing and assisting victims of sex trafficking and homelessness.

Last summer, The Sound of Freedom made a big splash in highlighting the plight of victims of human trafficking. It highlighted a problem we have closer to home. Two MASSIVE Law Enforcement Stories Show Why ‘The Sound Of Freedom’ Matters

In the summer of 2020, long before Joe Biden threw the border open wide, Col Allen West dropped some horrifying stats about human trafficking in Texas cities as a plank in his platform when he challenged Abbott for the Texas GOP’s nomination for Governor.

It’s gotten far worse since then. The cartels now make more money for human trafficking than they do for trafficking narcotics… not that they have cut back on either.

America is often mentioned among the world’s chief consumers of the victims of human trafficking. This open border is making that situation much, much worse.
