DeSantis v. Newsom: Who Won… And Does It Even Matter With Trump Running?
The much-hyped Red v. Blue governor's debate has come and gone... now what?
As expected, Gavin came armed with all of the left’s favorite lies, hype, and spin. The typical talking points were wrapped up in a smug, slick smile. How did RDS stack up against him?
Here’s what a few observers said about what Florida’s Governor was facing on that stage:
Gavin Newsom debate strategy:
– interrupt everyone.
– claim he’s actually the one being interrupted.
– state he’s going to answer the question.
– never answer the question.
– lie boldly.
– talk about how great his state is, even though U-Haul can’t keep a truck in their lot.

Is it unfair to say Newsom was lying? Well, maybe he prefers ‘alternate facts’.
When Hannity would present facts and data directly comparing the two states, with all the citations you would expect, Gavin ignored all that data and made unsubstantiated statistical claims of his own, or ignored them completely.
As expected, Gavin brought some of the expected smears about ‘Don’t Say Gay’ (the Florida Parental Rights in Education Act makes zero references to ‘gay’. What it DOES do is prohibit 3rd-graders and younger from having to hear sex education in their curriculum.) Gavin played similar rhetorical dirty tricks with how he characterized immigration, Covid, and the so-called ‘book-banning’.
And there was this:
I’ve never see anything like this. Newsom literally can’t say one sentence that is true. DeSantis is calmly just laying out facts and reality.
This disconnect from reality Newsom and the Left have is exactly what needed to be exposed.
Is there anyone on Twitter dot com that…

In an absolutely jaw-dropping moment, Gavin Newsom declines to say there should be any restrictions on abortion in the 7th, 8th, & 9th (!) MONTH of pregnancy.
These are babies able to survive outside the womb.
We are talking full-term children that can feel pain.
No…

Then there was what happened when the cameras stopped rolling…
A DeSantis aide said California first partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom was the one who stepped in and ended the debate on her husband’s behalf after Hannity invited the two governors to go deeper into overtime. A second person on the ground confirmed that.
“Gavin Newsom got beat so badly last night his wife literally had to throw in the towel for him. It was embarrassing,” DeSantis spokesperson Andrew Romeo said. — Politico
How did DeSantis handle himself?
Here are some clips of the debate that got people talking.
DeSantis makes it personal:
Yikes.

The ‘crap map’ is getting a lot of play, but many are missing the bigger point. Newsom only cared enough to do something about it when fancy people from China were coming to visit. He not only cleaned up the city, but he lined the streets with flags… of China.
The “Newsom San Francisco Poop Map” was #GreasyGavin’s death blow. He couldn’t smirk his way out of that one with all the Chiclet teeth in the world. pic.twitter.com/38WIrP4Fcn

There seems to be some level of consensus that DeSantis won the night.
But Ron isn’t running in an contest for ‘best Governor of America’. He’s in a race to be the next GOP nominee for President.
Will last night’s debate make a difference in the end?
That remains to be seen.
John The Baptist: A Rude Awakening Precedes A Great Awakening.
This timely little tome chronicles the politically incorrect ministry of one of God’s most effective wildmen, John the Baptist, who prepared the way for Christ’s ministry.
The abrasive message of repentance John preached 2000 years ago is still confrontational and offensive today — but it is also life-changing.
In our putrid, worldly culture that has turned away from God, this book is a must-read for every Christian.
Available in paperback for those of you who like the feel of the pages in your hot, little hands, on Kindle to keep it right at your fingertips, and as an epic Audiobook.
