Journos should watch this and take notes. It's probably a better education than the one they got in college.

There is a real problem that is especially evident in North America — there are far fewer reporters than there were in the past.

While the upper eschelons of many institutions like universities, he military, and multi-national corporations have become increasingly ideologically captured by the far-Left, there’s one industry that has woke activists working daily to spread their mind virus to an unsuspecting audience — journalists.

We don’t really have many mainstream publications that stick to the facts without veering into opinion, anymore. Journalists see it as their job to craft public opinion on the news rather than just report the news.

While every reporter and their dog — we see you Dana Bash and Jim Acosta — are willing to grill every single Republican on any issue, there is a decided dearth of ones that actually hold anyone on the Left to any standard whatsoever.

That’s where talk radio comes in.

Talk radio, which has been dominated by rightwingers for decades, (thanks largely to the late, great, El Rushbo,) is still doing exactly that — asking tough questions to the few leftwing politicians that have the cajones to show up.

One of the big issues that divides Republicans and Democrats is school choice. Democrats are against school choice while Republicans are largely in favor of it. This one issue flips the script — for decades, the Dems have been touted as the ones who champion the working class, but not, it would seem, when it comes to having the hoi polloi being permitted into their private schools. You can’t have the children of the unwashed masses rubbing shoulders with the silver-spooned Tiffanys and Tads — that might change the culture of the school, and that would just be unacceptable.

Tennessee State Senator Heidi Campbell decided that she would go into the lion’s den of right-of-center talk radio and defend her opposition to Gov. Bill Lee’s statewide voucher program. It didn’t go so well for Heidi.

Radio host Matt Murphy had her number and called her out on her hypocrisy. You see, it appears that Heidi sends her kids to private school but doesn’t want people without similar financial means to have the same opportunity.

School choice advocate Corey DeAngelis posted short videos of the interview and each clip gets better and better.

The first one shows Murphy calling out Campbell for her hypocrisy. He also grills her on a throw-away statement where she reiterates her support for public school despite sending her kids to private school.

“Wait — do you have this perception that people that send their kids to private school don’t support public education?” Murphy asks.

“I think that’s the implication when people are asking me how I can stand up for public schools,” replies Campbell.

Murphy then grills her on which school her kids would go to if they went to the one in their school zone. She responds that it’s Hillsboro High School in Nashville, but quickly begins making excuses that “it’s because they’ve been there since kindergarten” and “it’s their community” instead of responding to Murphy’s follow-up question, “Why don’t you send your kids there?”

I’m old enough to remember when invoking the word “culture” was a dog-whistle for racists, but Heidi with her Leftwing privilege isn’t going to face that accusation, is she?

As for her claim that the school in her zone is a “pretty good school” and it’s solely because of “culture” that her kids aren’t there, well, that’s a load of crap.

DeAngelis posts receipts showing that the school is ranked in the middle of the pack in the state and the students are struggling — only 25% of the student body is proficient in reading and a shameful 6% are proficient in math.

Meanwhile, Senator Campbell went to private school as a child, then went to a magnet school for high school. She has never simply gone to a school that was in her zone, nor has she done that with her own children.

Murphy continues to grill her on why she won’t send her kids to their local, public school. Her response is an evasive argument saying that she did try to get her daughter into the same magnet school that she went to. That isn’t what Murphy asked, however.

She then starts whining that he’s making personal attacks.

In the clip below, Matt Murphy brings it home and calls her a hypocrite to her face. It’s glorious.

Murphy then calls out Campbell for presenting a repeal of the school voucher bill without having read the bill.

She continues to lie about it.

And then… the coup de grâce. Murphy tells her to leave and ends the segment in an epic fashion.

“That’s Senator Heidi Campbell for the last time on the Matt Murphy Radio Show on Super Talk 99.7 WTN,” says Murphy.

Campbell clearly wasn’t happy about the radio defenestration, so she fired off a tweet calling Murphy a “MAGA talk-radio host” and didn’t defend her decision to not send her kids to the failing public school that they’re zoned for.

Campbell just couldn’t handle being held accountable for her hypocritical view on school choice and getting called out for lying on the air.

God bless Matt Murphy and let’s hope thousands of journalists can learn something from this exchange.

John The Baptist: A Rude Awakening Precedes A Great Awakening.

This timely little tome chronicles the politically incorrect ministry of one of God’s most effective wildmen, John the Baptist, who prepared the way for Christ’s ministry.

The abrasive message of repentance John preached 2000 years ago is still confrontational and offensive today — but it is also life-changing.

In our putrid, worldly culture that has turned away from God, this book is a must-read for every Christian.

Available in paperback for those of you who like the feel of the pages in your hot, little hands, on Kindle to keep it right at your fingertips, and as an epic Audiobook.
