Finally, Some GOOD News For The Largest Wildfire In Texas History (VIDEO)

Help was asked for... and it came

The Texas panhandle is smack in the middle of it’s biggest fire ever. Over 1 Million acres are said to have been burned.

It’s a fire so big that it’s visible by sattelite.

It has been devastating for agriculture, the majority of Texan cattle ranchers are located in the area and even the cattle that were taken to safety will need something to eat in the year or so it takes for the pastureland to bounce back.

There are photos.

And videos:

A little context:

So, how could something this devastating be an occasion for good news?

Ok, great. But did it make a difference?

See for yourself.

We’re not even being close to out of the woods yet, but in at least one community, we’ve seen progress.

‘Thoughts and prayers’ might be a platitude for many. But actual prayer, the real kind, can do some heavy lifting. Believers used to know that. The Apostle James even pointed us to Elijah as an example, saying he was a regular guy like the rest of us, whose prayers changed the world around him. If we return to that response, maybe we’ll see the insane glide path our country is on go in a better direction.

That’s the whole point of this book:

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
