The young woman on this clip seems ordinary enough, until she starts talking about a young woman who got pregnant, and decided to step up and raise the kid she had brought into the world.
This decision that so many of our readers would see as the only viable option on the table (with the truly difficult question being choosing between adoption and motherhood) completely blindsided the girl in this video.
She didn’t have a category for it, and even when confronted with the obvious rational implication of her ‘choice’ narrative, she makes it clear that ‘choice’ was never really more than a palatable euphemism for ‘purge your body of the unwanted child before it becomes an inconvenient responsibility’.
She thinks she is “pro-choice” but in her head that means “you always get rid of the baby”.
