What Does “Leaving Room for The Wrath of God” Mean?
Jesus showed us by his own example

There’s an odd text in scripture that tells us to ‘leave room for the wrath of God’… what’s THAT about?
Leaving room for wrath isn’t something any of the churches sporting a skinny jeans and smoke machines vibe will touch with a 10’ pew.
But it’s in the Book. And since it’s in the book, if we want the ‘whole counsel of God’, we’re gonna have to grapple with what that means.
It might not surprise you that Jesus led by example in this, as in every other aspect of his life. But it might surprise you what that example looks like.
It’s 100% backwards from every natural instinct we have to getting down in the muck with any fool that picks a fight with us in real life or even online.
What was his example? Why does that example make more sense than following our natural inclinations? And what the heck is the part about Wrath supposed to mean?
