Cursing and Crying Can Produce Fruit

When's the last time you heard a 'respectable' pastor talk like THIS?

How do YOU talk to God when the chips are down and there’s a lot on the line? If you feel like you’re supposed to put on your ‘pious voice’, and dust off your KJV English, you’ll want to sit down for this one.

There’s a time and place for defined and orderly prayer — Christ himself gave us the Lord’s Prayer.

But there’s also a time and place for the gritty, red-eyed, white-knuckle scream-at-the-sky summit-or-plummet kind of ‘if God doesn’t break through I’m a dead man walking’ kind of prayer.

Churchianity is so focused on the ‘nice’ and ‘respectable’ that we forget to talk about pull-the-emergency-brake-on-life kind of prayer that only bubbles to the surface in our most desperate situations.

Desperate situations. Such as?

Maybe you’re thinking of the regular life-and-death situations like a sick kid with a terminal diagnosis, a pink slip for the family’s only breadwinner, or maybe a funnel cloud forming in your backyard.

Sure. We might scream and sob some really gritty prayers in those situations.

But let God open up and touch His Finger to an exposed nerve of your conscience —  let Him show you what you’re really made of — and you’ll find there’s a whole OTHER kind of life-and-death kind of prayer. It’s the kind upon whose answer your very soul can depend.

What drives a person to THAT kind of prayer… and what hope can the would-be believer cling to in that situation?

That’s where today’s text takes us.
It’s kind of a rough ride, but you’ll see that the destination is totally worth it.

I Talk Back to the Devil is an action manual that sports thirty pure fire proclamations against the powers of darkness in three different categories covering, the wealth, the walk and the warfare of the Christian against Satan and his defeated ilk.

This NEW book will put a serrated edge on the Christian’s prayer life in these troubled times. This slim tome will embolden the believer to stop taking Satan’s crap.
