Andrew Linn: Some of My Thoughts for This Week

It is obvious the Trump-Harris debate was biased in favor of Harris. In fact, you could say it was probably rigged. At least Trump showed up, contrary to what Nancy Pelosi’s prediction that he would skip the debate. Pelosi even went so far to say that she knows cowardice when she sees it. This is coming from a person who dodges questions that she doesn’t want to answer, that is if she’s not snapping at reporters over such questions.

Taylor Swift is endorsing Kamala Harris, which is no surprise since she made it clear she didn’t like Donald Trump a few years ago. Meanwhile, Brittany Mahomes is endorsing Trump. Maybe there should be a debate between Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes.

Caitlin Clark liked Taylor Swift’s Instagram post about endorsing Kamala Harris, but it doesn’t appear that Clark is doing the same (although supposedly her boyfriend is a Harris supporter). It turns out Clark just wants people to register to vote if they haven’t already.

And speaking of Caitlin Clark, her rival Angel Reese is out for the rest of the season due to a wrist injury. And as I mentioned in a previous article, Reese claims fans of Caitlin Clark sending her death threats, following her home, and sending AI-generated photos of her in the nude to her relatives. Reese also claims it is racially motivated. But has she produced any proof of such these threats and harassment, not to mention her claim it is racially motivated, or even being carried out by fans of Caitlin of Clark. Meanwhile, Clark has six technical fouls during this season, and one more technical will result in a one-game suspension. She might be reaching her breaking point from the hard fouls she has received from other players (as I mentioned previously) as well as criticizing the officials for not taking the appropriate action. Clark has tried to appeal the technical fouls called on her, but so far the WNBA has yet to grant her appeal. The Indiana Fever Coach Christie Sides said that Clark needs to keep her emotions in check, but at the same time it is not clear what action Coach Sides has taken on the hard fouls Clark has received. However, the WNBA is apparently taking action.

Recently Jennifer Szalai of the New York Times hinted that the Constitution to a threat to America. Apparently she is not aware that the Constitution is what our government is based on- in order to prevent America from becoming a dictatorship. And just a reminder, America is a republic, not a democracy.

And in breaking news, there has been another assassination attempt on Donald Trump. A gunman, identified as Ryan Wesley Routh, shot at Trump who was playing golf at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach. Trump was unharmed, while Routh was apprehended. There will be more details regarding this matter in the next few days. Then it’s a question of where Trump stands in the polls after a second assassination attempt.
