THE STRIKE: If Kamala’s So ‘Awesome’ Shouldn’t Joe Make Her His Longshoreman Czar?
Here's how bad it can get, and how badly prepared their response was
It was the surprise hiding in plain sight that everyone saw coming.
Even Joe Biden had the strike on what’s left of his mind, because that’s what he thought was being talked about when Israel blew Yemeni infrastructure halfway to hell after intercepting a couple of ICBM’s the other day.
REPORTER: “Any comment on the strikes in Yemen, Mr. President!?”
BIDEN (or whatever’s left of him): “I’ve spoken to both sides. They gotta settle the strike. I’m supporting the collective bargaining effort. I think they’ll settle the strike.”

“I think they’ll settle the strike.”
Imagine our surprise: Yet again, Joe Biden is talking with absolute certainty about topics he knows nothing about.
As if on cue, the strike he was referring to — the one that will bring imports all along the Eastern Seaboard to a standstill — began as of midnight last night.
From Maine to Texas, dockworkers at 36 ports across the eastern U.S. are now on strike for the first time in decades. And the work stoppage could snarl supply chains — leading to shortages and higher prices if it stretches on for more than a few weeks.
Workers began walking picket lines early Tuesday in a strike over wages and the ports’ use of automation, though some progress had been reported in the latest contract talks. The contract between the ports and about 45,000 members of the International Longshoremen’s Association expired at midnight. — AP
How bad could it get?
The President of the Longshoremen sounds like he’s playing for keeps… more than willing to hold a gun to the heads of all the other industries in America. ‘I will cripple you’:
“I will cripple you,”

That doesn’t sound good.
Surely Preachy Pete Buttigieg will hop on his bicycle and come riding to the rescue. He’s all about supply chain solutions, right?
If not him, maybe the Biden-Harris Commerce Secretary has a plan of action ready in case negotiations go south. Some contingency to keep the economy (an economy already expected to face serious headwinds after the fed rate adjustment) from going into an absolute tailspin.
Here she is talking about that contingency plan…
Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said last month that she was “not familiar” with the downward revision in the jobs numbers.
Today, she said on TV that she’s “not very focused” on a potential port strike that could cripple commerce.

What’s that? The plan was to stick your head in the sand and wish the problem away?
No wonder Kamala’s fighting like hell to be seen as a ‘change agent’ instead of ‘more of the same’.
Here’s an idea… if Comrade Kamala really IS such a ‘change agent’ and powerful force for solving problems… here’s her chance to prove it.
Since she’s part of the regime now in power, why doesn’t Biden give Kamala a chance to show us all what a good and wise leader she really is. Let her demonstrate it by bringing both parties back to the bargaining table and to a lasting solution.
If she’s even one-TENTH of the light-bringer the media portrays her as, solving this issue should be a piece of cake, right?
So prove it!
