Election 2024: the Aftermath

Donald Trump has been voted back into the White House, the second President to have done so- the first being Grover Cleveland. He won both the popular vote and the electoral vote, thus putting an end to four years of failure of the Biden Administration and Kamala Harris’s plan to bring hope and joy to America.

And in the aftermath of the election, a series of events have taken place, which are as follows:

  • Many people claimed to have received text messages saying they will soon be slaves, and told to report at a certain time in order to be taken to a plantation. It’s unclear who is behind these text messages, but it’s a good bet it is not Trump or any of his supporters. Hopefully, the individual(s) behind these texts will be brought to justice.
  • Several Democratic Governors have vowed to fight Trump over his agenda, particularly the issue of illegal immigrants.
  • Many of Harris’s supporters have been traumatized (or claim to have been traumatized) by Trump’s victory.
  • Some colleges and universities have offered milk and cookies to students upset over Trump’s victory, as well as offering to cancel classes. No such thing was ever done in the aftermath of the 2020 Election.
  • Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has called for community building- apparently an effort to mobilize her fellow liberals to combat Trump’s agenda. She also said America was about to enter an era of fascism and authoritarianism- I think she needs to look up both of those words in the dictionary, because apparently she doesn’t know what they mean.
  • Several celebrities have said they would leave the country if Trump won. Since he did, it is a question if they will do so.
  • Some Democrats (e.g. Nancy Pelosi, Bernie Sanders) are pointing fingers at each other over Trump defeating Harris.
  • It remains to be seen if Trump’s victory will have an impact on him being convicted. Meanwhile, New York Attorney General Letitia James has vowed to take him on, even after a New York appeals court appeared to be open to reversing or reducing a $454 million civil fraud judgment against Trump- the result of a lawsuit that James brought against him.
  • The Iranian Government has denied involvement in the attempt to assassinate Trump, even though it has threatened to do so, as well as a plot being thwarted last month. With Trump being voted back into office, there is a chance that the days of the Islamic Republic of Iran could be numbered. Can the same be said for America’s other adversaries?

At any rate, one thing can said, and that is our Republic has been saved.
