The Vote & The Implications

The party of Lincoln has a great opportunity to embrace his winning attitude

This recent election ought to be an encouragement to all true patriots, it ought to sober leftists, and it certainly revealed massive dissatisfaction expressed by average Americans who have been marginalized for decades.

The landslide result also challenges us to support this administration as it embraces the rule of law, forwarding reforms domestically and internationally. In other words, today is the first day of the rest of our political lives.

Rage must be turned to reform.

Rancor must be redirected to realignment.

And division should be replaced with professional debate.

President Trump’s re-election was due in part to his skill at making the case, the art of the deal if you will. Already he is seen doing what he said he would do, the mark of integrity. His leadership will be tested as he works to turn rage into reform, encouraging one nation under God.

Rancor is either a waste of time or a tool of the left. Our best move is to take the high ground as President Lincoln counselled, “with malice toward none.”

The art of politics should focus on justice, reconciliation where possible, and unity. Greatness lies in the ability of leadership to hold fast to justice without drifting toward revenge.

The vote was a bloodless revolution that showed us that The People want traditionalism, conservatism, populism, and nationalism, i.e., liberty and justice for all.

Let’s not be naïve. Leftists are already escalating the civil war they declared long ago.

Let us be guided by the Spirit of ’76.
