There is only one reason to watch clips of CNN these days and his name is Scott Jennings.
The Republican strategist and political commentator is making Lib heads explode on a daily basis, and I’m here for it.
He drops facts with a signature smirk and doesn’t take any crap from anyone on the panel, including the smug, crypto-leftist host, Abby Phillip, who hides behind a veneer of sounding like she is a reasonable person.
In a recent segment on CNN Newsnight with Abby Phillip, the panel was discussing the hilarious X convo between Don Jr. and Elon Musk about buying the ratings loser and leftist dogma channel posing as a news network, MSNBC.
How much does it cost?
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) November 22, 2024
This was exactly the question he asked before he bought Twitter and transformed it into X.
Of course, the leftists were upset about the possibility that Musk might buy MSNBC because Elon backed Trump instead of Cacklin’ Kamala, and will be working in the next administration to slash government waste.
Jennings weighed in and said that he saw a survey that said that X was the most ideologically balanced social media platform. His fellow panelists refused to believe it because they think that Musk has turned X into Digital MAGA World.
“Oh, come on! Scott, Scott, it’s too early, I just sat down for two minutes. You cannot continue this — you cannot say that,” said journo Cari Champion before rolling her eyes and adding, “Who’s your source?”
Host Audie Cornish joined Champion asking the source for the claim.
Jennings tried to warn his fellow panelists that they’d be embarrassed when they heard what the source of that survey was, because …
… it was CNN.
“We’ve reported it on this network,” replied Jennings.
“That’s not accurate and you know it,” Champion shot back.
“Okay,” shrugs Jennings, “I’ll let you make your statement.”

When Scott Jennings pointed out X is more ideologically balanced after @elonmusk bought the platform, Cari Champion and the host, Audie Cornish, asked what the source was for that reporting.
Jennings said it was from CNN.

Jennings was referring to this recent CNN report:
NOW – CNN's Shock Admission: Musk’s X Now Represents U.S. Voters ‘Far Better’ Than Ever Before |
From a Democrat-heavy platform to a balanced reflection of the nation's voters, Musk's transformation of X has reshaped the media landscape——even CNN is noticing.

This just proves that even the employees at CNN don’t watch CNN.
Jennings is pointing out that the so-called reporters don’t even know what the reality on the ground actually is.
It’s telling that when Jim Geraghty of National Review asked the panel if they’d be upset if Bill Gates was in control of MSNBC and Champion replied, “No, because he’s sane.”
Like… WHAT?!
Bill Gates is a Malthusian who wants to hack the atmosphere to slow down global warming, force people in rich countries to eat fake meat and make everyone drink poop water. He’s about as close to a real-life Bond villain as you can get! But Elon Musk posts memes, campaigned for Trump, doesn’t like censorship, and wants to have a colony on Mars, so clearly he’s the problem.
It looks like the Trump Derangement Syndrome has a new variant — Musk Derangement Syndrome.
Musk has been triggering journos who don’t realize that most of their jobs are going the way of the buggy whip by unleashing the potential of social media and ending the censorship regime that silenced voices they didn’t like, which largely meant conservatives.
He also says the Thing That Must Not Be Said — you are the media now.
You are the media now

The new media has made the old media obsolete, and they’re still in the denial stage.
Axios Buggy whip maker — sorry, reporter, Jim VandeHei is very upset that people don’t respect the hard work that journos do as faithful stenographers for the Democrats.

I mean, he’s got a point. Just look at the last few months. They had to pivot from telling us all how Biden was a super-genius with the stamina of a Greek god doing backflips while working on complex algebraic equations, to trying to sell the country on Kamala Harris who is as likeable as Stage 4 cancer and who paraded a bunch of celebrity endorsements instead of policy. Although, I can see why she’d do that since she a) doesn’t seem to hold any convictions except no restrictions on abortion; b) hired a bunch of Gen Z know-nothing staffers who just wanted “vibes”; and c) Democrat policies are not very popular with the public once they are clearly articulated. But I digress…
Unfortunately for Jimbo and his ilk, what’s really happening is that people are fed up of the one-sided garbage shoved down their throats by the mainstream media that pretends to have no bias. Right-leaning commentators and reporters are benefiting from the new policies at X.
MORE – In addition to its ideological shift, X has become the dominant platform for news influencers, with 85% of news influencers maintaining an account on X, compared to just 50% on Instagram and 44% on YouTube (https://t.co/1WzHzf5wdc) pic.twitter.com/wwQOGw5HCN

It’s true. People who dig into subjects they’re interested in and post about it intelligently get massive followings, and Community Notes are helpful to keep facts straight.
Of course, X’s success is bad news for the activists posing as journos, but that’s just good news for the rest of us, because now we can see them for who they are.
In recent years, there’s been a big push in schools for “media literacy.” Maybe people are learning media literacy.
