Former AOC Staffer Gunning For Pelosi’s Seat Makes Bernie Sanders Look Like Rand Paul

Saikat Chakrabarti is about to become a household name. Others may have forgotten his most damning quote… but ClashDaily hasn’t.

For the first time in forever, Nancy Pelosi is actually facing a primary opponent in her re-election bid. The average voter may not recognize his name, but you will know who he worked for… and the one piece of legislation he is most famous for working on.

Until about the time that AOC was facing political pressure for shady campaign finance dealings, Saikat Chakrabarti served as AOC’s Chief of Staff. There are conflicting theories on his reason for leaving, but he quickly went from being the COS for a political rising star to… whatever it was he did in the intervening years that followed.

Now that Nancy Pelosi has no real power… and she’s a walking billboard for term limits, he sees his chance to jump in as one of the decision-makers. As Nancy herself once said… in some parts of the country, a glass of water with a ‘D’ written on it could win an election.

In places like that, the real fight isn’t in November, it’s in the primaries. And she’s got herself a challenger.

“Watching [President Donald] Trump and Elon [Musk] freely unleash chaos in their illegal seizure of government, it’s become clear to me that the Democratic Party needs new leadership,” Chakrabarti said on X. “I don’t understand how DC’s Democratic leaders are so paralyzed and unprepared for this moment after living through President Trump’s first term — and after Trump and Elon warned us exactly what they planned to do.
“I respect what Nancy Pelosi has accomplished in her career, but we are living in a totally different America than the one she knew when she entered politics 45 years ago,” he continued. “America is stuck, and Americans want real solutions that are as big as the problems we face.” — JustTheNews

Yeah, sure, he’s another example of a cancel culture race-baiter throwing racist tropes at anyone he disagrees with, even within his own party. But that’s not the big story here.

For any Dems who might have been expecting a coronation of Nancy’s daughter or Scott Weiner, this announcement will come as a shock. She’s being hit from the left flank… and she is so accustomed to taking her vote for granted that she could lose to a hardline leftwinger that makes Nancy look like Rand Paul or Thomas Massie by comparison.

Don’t take ClashDaily’s word for it. It’s recorded in his own words when he was talking about the REAL goal of the Green New Deal which — as AOC’s chief of staff at the time — he would have every reason to have insider knowledge about.

The dirty little secret, as he described it, was The Green New Deal isn’t an energy plan. It’s an economic plan disguised as an energy plan.

How appropriate, then, that Biden smuggled so much of that New Green Deal Agenda into what his people cynically called the ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ that his own people admitted it didn’t reduce inflation and it should have been more intentional in trumpeting the eco policy it contained.

Before you get TOO excited about someone on the left kicking Nancy to the curb in a safe blue seat, you might want to know who that is and what he stands for, as we reported in the latter part of an article written back in August of 2019:

Chakrabarti let the cat out of the bag in a recent extensive profile in The Post magazine. According to the report, Chakrabarti told an aide for Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D), a presidential candidate, that his boss’s Green New Deal “wasn’t originally a climate thing at all.” “Do you guys think of it as a climate thing?” Chakrabarti says, “Because we really think of it as a how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing.” You can’t get much more revolutionary than that.

Remember, the core political affiliation of AOC and her fellow travelers is NOT ‘Democrat’…  before becoming his surrogate, she publicly lamented that she and Joe Biden could possibly belong to the same party. Her first allegiance is to the Democratic Socialists Of America, which explains why both she and this guy were busy recruiting hardline lefties to primary vulnerable Democrats as a first step to establishing a political power base.
