Trump Vs. Swift: Who Had The Better Super Bowl?

Was there really ever any doubt?

As big a storyline as the Taylor Swift / Travis Kelce story was in the last Super Bowl, this year there was an even bigger personality sharing the limelight with her.

Would Tay-Tay still command the attention of her admirers, or would that brighness fade like a candle at noonday in the comparative brilliance of a larger-than-life sitting President of the United States of America?

After the rough patch the NFL had in the take-a-knee years, and after going all-in with wokeness during the BLM frenzy, we’ve seen something of a turnaround since the last time Trump was on the scene.

The FJB chants at sporting events was a clue that the pendulum was coming back the other way. The roar of the crowd at MMA events where Trump would walk up with Dana White, was pretty wild. Even the end-zone Trump dances made you think that this year might be different.

But you never really know until you know. It was when Trump showed up that we knew for sure what the audience thought about the first time a Sitting President showed up for the Superbowl.

Here he is, saluting the flag during the anthem, with the crowd reaction:

But that was NOTHING compared to the roar as the President walked on to the freaking theme song from Top Gun!

Say whatever you want about the man, he is a master showman.

Even Barron Trump made an appearance. Of course some haters are going to say it was digitally edited. 😉

Here’s the crowd reacting to Taylor Swift showing up on the Jumbotron.

That’s a lot of boos. I’m guessing someone with her starpower is unaccustomed to that reaction.

Without realizing it, she even did the meme thing.

Still, she managed to get through the night better than Travis Kelsey, who wasn’t just booed for his ‘Starsky and Hutch’ outfit, but spent the night having salt rubbed in the wound of his loss with people joking that Taylor Swift’s next album is gonna be all about him… for all the wrong reasons.
