If the name Perkins Coie sounds familiar to you, it should: they were the Democrat political firm without which, Crossfire Hurricane and ‘Russia, Russia, Russia’ would never have happened.
They tried to Destroy Trump. Both then, and through various oblique attacks since then. They have been very involved in the Democrat political process, including fighting for Democrat priorities in the various courts.
In 2024, Trump did the unthinkable: he won reelection and used his powers to start rooting out various forms of graft and corruption.
Somewhere along the line, a group that openly flaunted the law to (it is alleged) knowingly and corruptly set the machinery of government and law enforcement against a Presidential candidate is unprecedented… and it’s totally out of line with anyone entrusted with the kinds of high-sensitivity documents associated with a security clearance.
Trump never got a real chance to do much about this in his first term. Something something… dish served cold.
