ARMOR OF GOD: The Helmet of Salvation (Eph.6:17)
Sermon by Doug Giles, Recorded at Liberty Fellowship, in Wimberley Texas

In the trench warfare of WWI, it didn’t take the very long to figure out just how easily their fighting forces could be shredded by the shells exploding overhead.
Injuries to a hand or a leg? You might be able to tough it out and stay in the fight. But shrapnel to the brain-pan? Turns out our melons are pretty fragile.
If our natural noggins need to be protected from the rigor of battle, what does that tell us about the greater conflict we suit up for every day?
That’s where we pick up the thread in Paul’s exposition on the Armor of God… this week, it’s the helmet of salvation.
It’s a bigger deal than what most people think. And if you’ve been told that just reciting the verse is the same as living it out? You REALLY want to click ‘play’ and see the very practical ways that Christians live out this very important foundational truth.
