NeverTrumpers Sink A Judicial Nominee…But LOOK Who They Got Instead!

Be careful what you ask for... you just might get it

After stunts like this, team MAGA is almost certain to primary this clown in 2026, but the judge that was named in his place? Almost makes it worth it.

It all started when President Trump did a routine part of his job: he picked an AG to serve in DC. Pretty simple, right? Not so much.

GOP Sen. Thom Tillis said Tuesday he has told the White House he will oppose Ed Martin’s nomination to be the top federal prosecutor for the District of Columbia, a potentially fatal blow to his already dicey confirmation chances.

Tillis spoke to reporters after meeting with Martin on Monday night. The North Carolinian, who is seeking reelection next year, had previously signaled he had concerns with Martin’s nomination as U.S. attorney because of his previous comments related to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack and his work defending those who took part in the riot. — Politico

When Trump pardoned those same J6 defendants because of the aggressive political overreach and the insane Brady Violations that seem to have been part of the prosecution, that’s a serious case of failing to read the room.

What could possibly explain his being so out-of-step with both the President and the people who elected him?

Yeah, that would explain it alright. Something to remember in Primary season.

With Trump busy resetting the balance of the global economy, he doesn’t have time to lean hard on the Senate to do the right thing. So he accepted the fact that he wasn’t getting this vote through. He withdrew Martin, who Trump said would find himself in some other place in his administration.

With a gap that needs filling, it’s up to Trump to appoint an interim head. As an interim, this one doesn’t need confirmation.

So who did he pick? Someone that is sure to make someone with a Liberty score of F shift uncomfortably in his seat.

President Donald Trump on Thursday appointed Fox News host Jeanine Pirro to serve as Washington, D.C.’s interim U.S. attorney, after Ed Martin, the current interim job holder and Trump’s first pick to hold the job on a permanent basis, failed to garner enough support to advance in the U.S. Senate.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump lauded Pirro’s prior experience as an assistant district attorney in Westchester County, New York, and as a county judge. — Reuters
That’s right. Judge Jeanine will be bringing some law and order to DC.
