Cryin’ Kimmel Has Pink-Slipped Colbert’s Back As Gutfield Gets The Last Laugh In Late-Night Shakeup
Colbert won't have to 'suffer' those four long years as a late-night hack

The irony is, Colbert wore out his welcome with the American public before Trump did!
It’s hard to say whether Kimmel or Colbert is more directly responsible for the slide of once-beloved late-night comedy into unfunny political hectoring. Neither man could hold a candle to the talent of Jon Stewart, and instead of trying to match his comedic satire, they went the route of become partisan presstitutes for the ‘D’ team. Rather apropos in light of the ‘D’-bags they both proved themselves to be.
In an almost comical explanation of just why Colbert’s ratings suck worse than an airplane toilet, news of this being his show’s final year came on the day that Adam Schiff was his guest.
That’s right. The guy who once used his monologue to throw homosexual slurs about uses Putin could have for President Trump’s mouth, and who made clumsy and unfunny musical propaganda pieces that were all but paid ads for getting jabbed by Pfizer.
Shockingly, bootlicking obedience to the Schumer/Pelosi agenda in the Trump years, or pedantic parroting of Biden/Kamala talking points during the Autopen administration hasn’t kept audiences coming back for more.
Colbert, who recently said on camera ‘this is going to be a long four years’ after CBS settled a lawsuit with Trump will no longer have to worry about any indignity of spending 4 years on camera while Trump is in office. To quote another famous TV host:
Though CBS said in a statement that canceling the show was “purely a financial decision” not related to its performance or content, the announcement follows Colbert’s criticism of a settlement between President Donald Trump and Paramount Global, CBS’s parent company.
Paramount agreed to pay Trump $16 million to settle a lawsuit over edits to an October 2024 interview conducted on CBS’s “60 Minutes” with Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Colbert, who frequently skewered Trump on his show, called the settlement a “big fat bribe” on air this Monday. —Politico
Cryin’ Kimmel was (as usual) ‘outraged’.
Jimmy Kimmel blasted CBS for axing “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” after 10 seasons while throwing his support behind his friend and fellow late-night host.
“Love you Stephen. F–k you and all your Sheldons CBS,” Kimmel wrote on his personal Instagram story Thursday, appearing to reference CBS’s hit “The Big Bang Theory” spinoff, “Young Sheldon.”

Maybe, instead of scolding the networks for deciding this show has been run into the ground, Kimmel could ask himself why Colbert and Kimmel combined can’t keep up with Greg Gutfeld’s show.
Earlier in the night, Fox News’ Gutfeld! continued to rule its time period, leading all of the shows we track among both total viewers (with a 3.29 million average) and viewers aged 18–49 (at an average of 238,000), down -9% and -22%, respectively, vs. last quarter. — LateNighter
(And he’s not even on one of the networks that gets pumped into every house with cable!)
