Schumer And Jeffries Go Full Clown Show In Futile Attempt To Block Trump’s Big Bill

Big Beautiful bill

Even the name Trump attached to this bill was ‘triggering’ to the Democrats, and at every mention of the Bill’s name, they used their own angry parody names for it.

If they had a lick of sense, they would have tried for something funny, instead.

With the usual suspects no longer calling the shots in the Republican Senate, Schumer didn’t have a prayer in derailing the process of this bill passing. It was so bad that he treated a fairly routine procedural trick forcing a name change as if it was a gigantic win.

The One Big Beautiful Bill Act is no more — in terms of its official nomenclature, anyway. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer invoked Senate budget rules to delete the title of the bill on the floor Tuesday morning.

It has become a tradition for trifecta bills passed under the special Senate rules that sidestep the filibuster. Republicans did it to Democrats’ Inflation Reduction Act in 2022, and Democrats did it to the GOP’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in 2017. — Politico

Even left-leaning Politico realized that this was a meaningless formality and told their readers that when this trick has been tried before, the name change really doesn’t prevent anyone from using the name it was known by.

Hakeem Jeffries, from the party that (until 5 minutes ago) claimed filibusters had some kind of connection to Colonial slave days, stood up before dawn on July 3rd, and kept talking… and talking… and talking… until almost 9 hours later.

It was an act of defiance. A bold stand.

Or, to describe it in more honest terms, an exercise in futility.
