Erika Kirk: Her Widow’s Promise Is ALREADY Showing Signs Of Fulfillment
The time has come for courage folks
How someone who watched an assassin’s bullet rip her family apart two short days earlier could muster the strength and composure to deliver such a message is amazing enough. But we are already seeing a payoff to her call to action.
If it was the assassin’s intent to put an end to Charlie Kirk’s legacy and to terrorize people into abandoning his cause, he could not have been more wrong in his calculations.
On Friday night, we all saw the beautiful tribute to his courageous life, the widow’s agony in breaking the news to the now-fatherless daughters, and her grim determination to see to it that the project first launched by Charlie Kirk would continue long after his passing.
It was a beautiful speech that, not surprisingly, haters rushed to find fault with.
She herself said, ‘The evildoers responsible for my husband’s assassination have no idea what they have done. They killed Charlie because he preached a message of patriotism, faith, and of God’s merciful love. But they should all know this. You have no idea what you have unleashed across this entire country. In this world. You have no idea.’
It looks as if the crowdfunding money sent to support his wife and kids is already well into the millions. That means she and her kids won’t have to choose between paying the bills and championing Charlie’s legacy. They will want for nothing and they can fully throw themselves into the passion that drives them.
While crazed zealots were still doing touchdown dances to celebrate the fall of a decent man, regular people were taking up her call to follow in Charlie’s footsteps.
Even that isn’t the biggest win that his family could point to from these tragic days.
The internet has been flooded with examples of people going to church for the first time in decades, of churches and other places of worship seeing unusually large attendance numbers, but more importantly, of individual men and women describing a personal return to faith, or new interest in it.
Some 1900 years ago, Tertullian observed that ‘the blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church’. That dynamic is no less true today than when it was first written… and America is now seeing that play out firsthand.
